First, I am a Graphic Designer.

So... I thought to myself... "Self, you could put a book together of stories, drawings, poetry and various other medium, put them together in a book, let lulu.com bind them and ship them and all the profits made from them could easily be transfered to O.U.C.H. via Paypal." (I'm thinking $2 per book profit, about $10-12 total for the book)

My questions are:

1. Is this a good Idea?

2. Would anyone be interested in sharing their personal Cluster Headache Writing, Drawing or Poetry for this book?

3. Would anybody actually buy the book when it is completed?

I think thats a great idea, but would people understand just how painfull this condition is? I bet pictures of different people in the middle of a hit would work.

I LOVE the idea Robert. It would certainly get more of the word out.

I can tell you my story - i've been personally dealing with the beast since before puberty. I'm 37 now :-/

There are quite a few amazing poets/artists/writers here.
I think every Neuro across the land should have one!

I was thinking if we can get some kind of visual discription of what cluster headaches feel like, we could print that discription on the back cover. Then have someone actually write a good introduction about what they are and what people do to treat them and so on. If we can get every neurologist in the USA to buy one, O.U.C.h. would be funded for a good long while.

I think in a week or so, I am going to starta thread where all the CHs can post their Writing and artwork. Then we will see where it goes from there.

OK, I have started a page where I can keep all the submissions for the new book. I am still working on some details, like trying to get LuLu.com to match our donations to O.U.C.H. and trying to figure out what subjects we should bring up in this book.

There are, as of now, 5 different planned for the book. I have a few other ideas but I am not sure as of yet.

Please let everyone know about this book idea. I would love to get plenty of content soon so I can start to put it together.
