Title: No really...I love you guys! Post by Dissident on Jul 13th, 2006, 11:47pm I sometimes go overboard when it comes to my political/religious views. Like I told someone earlier in a personal post "I am extremely opinionated". I want to let everyone here know (Christians, Liberals, Republicans, Buddhist, the heterosexually challenged, the homosexually challenged ::), Democrats, Satanist, ,whatever) that without you guys I probably wouldn't be alive today and I wouldn't have a young'un on the way. Reading all of your posts through the years helped me deal with the pain and helped me to realize I COULD responsibly care for a child...even with these beasts in my brain! The last thing I want to do is alienate the people I have come here to support and get support from. I really do love and respect all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Goodnight. And to all of you at the convention... [smiley=frown.gif]IT'S NOT FAIR!!! |

Title: Re: No really...I love you guys! Post by sandie99 on Jul 14th, 2006, 5:18am To be honest, how BORING would life be if everybody would always agree about everything? Variety is good. :) Personally, I love to talk with people who have complitely different views about things than I have. I respect others' opinions and it's great to learn more every day. :) And congrats! The lot in here wants to see baby pics. Asap... ;) Best wishes & PFdays, Sanna |

Title: Re: No really...I love you guys! Post by Charlotte on Jul 14th, 2006, 3:31pm hmmm... Mary Ann or Ginger. Congratulations on the baby. That's a wonderful thing. About the points of view, I love seeing different points of view. When it comes to actual fighting, my fight or flight tends to flight. Relationships are a lot of work. I've been married 30 years & Joe & I still fit, like each other, love each, etc. I had a daughter & we had 4 more (who all act like Joe so it's good I think he's cute). Now that the kids are mostly grown & have lives of their own, me & Joe go on dates and save some time for each other. Now that he is older, he has gout, which is another one of the most painful pains. The tips in our supporter section have helped me deal with his pain. Also, since he now has pain, he understands how one can live with pain - before he did not understand. Good luck to you and your spouse, and I like pregnant belly pictures, if you can talk her into it. Charlotte |

Title: Re: No really...I love you guys! Post by maffumatt on Jul 17th, 2006, 10:28pm Don't eat them. |

Title: Re: No really...I love you guys! Post by Dissident on Jul 17th, 2006, 11:59pm BMoneeTheMoneeMan, There is a very good chance you will die. Take the advice from maffumatt...DO NOT EAT THEM! It is not worth the risk. The only reason I feel confident in my ability to identify mushrooms is because I'm an expert. I have been growing, hunting and identifying different strains of mushrooms for way over a decade. Even experts are sometimes fooled by lookalikes. If you happen to eat one of the deadly lookalikes you'll be in for a long, nightmarish death. Your kidneys and liver will fail and you WILL DIE! Oregon has a few "trippy shrooms" that grow in the wild but I would strongly recommend doing your homework before risking your life! Sorry I can't be of more help. [smiley=frown.gif] If you feel you must learn...A good start is the "National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Mushrooms ". It's a great book to start with. I have two copies. If you want one let me know. Again...it takes years of reading, picking and learning before you should eat ANY wild mushroom (except morels...they're easy to spot). |

Title: Re: No really...I love you guys! Post by zwibbs/Scott on Jul 18th, 2006, 1:37am One of the easiest things to do is NEVER eat a mushroom that has any orange tint to them. Some poisinous mushrooms resemble good eating mushrooms !!! PM me a picture and I'll be bale to tell you if it is good........I took a course at the Culinary Institute where my son went and it was very good in differentiating between good/bad. If you have any question ---DON'T EVEN TOUCH THEM ! |
||
Title: Re: No really...I love you guys! Post by Dissident on Jul 18th, 2006, 3:11am zwibbs/Scott, "One of the easiest things to do is NEVER eat a mushroom that has any orange tint to them." See those pictures I posted? They are Florida Psilocybe Cubensis aka Common Large Psilocybe aka Strophariaceae, Agaricales. They have an orange tinge and are very good eating (if your looking to do the ole www.clusterbuster.com treatment). You cannot tell if a mushroom is edible just by looking at a picture. There are to many variables and to many mushrooms that look alike. You need to be able to look at the color of spore print and measure the size of the spores (among many other things). I'm not so sure that they taught you about trippy/hallucinogenic shrooms at the Culinary Institute ;) Florida P.Cubensis is one of the easiest mushrooms to identify here in Florida. One tell tale sign is that they bruise blue when handled (as do some poisonous varieties) and the spore print is a dark purpleish brown and measures 11.5-17 X 8-11.5 microns. Never and I repeat NEVER eat a mushroom that was identified by another person via a picture on the Internet! It's just not worth it! |
