Title: Re: Geeez just when I thought Post by Summerbabe on Jul 12th, 2006, 9:54am :-/ Hello all, thanks for the input, this is hard because my husband asks me everyday if my headaches are gone , I say no, and he says I have a serious problem. :'(.. well ya duh , he has no bedside manner and is not grace under pressure to say the least, he frustrates me during an attack even though I scream to leave me be...I also told him to research my disease , log on here and talk with you guys and he refuses. I am heading to the doctor today for the passing out issue. I am having a cat scan...wish me luck. Thanks all, Summer [smiley=hug.gif] |

Title: Re: Geeez just when I thought Post by rickyshot on Jul 12th, 2006, 10:13am Prayers coming your way. I have a long history of this kind of thing with my complicated migraines. They are called hemiplegic migraines. I have been paralyzed many times and it usually goes away in a few hours but I feel like shit. However on one occasion it was particularly bad and my face was even affected as well as my speech and usual right side. The docs said I probably passed a TIA which is a trans ischemic attack or mini stroke and I am on baby Aspirin for the rest of my life. This attack was different in the fact that the paralysis lasted five days and that never happened before. Very scary stuff and this from weeks of migraine alone never mind the CH. My neuro said I have to take this thing seriously and I am at high risk for stroke. So migraines at least some of them are not benign. Now CH brings beside a shitty overall feeling extreme pain to the max and I never had complicated symptoms from the CH. Bottom line when these things happen even if it happened many times before and they know your name at ER, you always go always. One day could be the worst God forbid. I hope you will be OK and trust I KNOW how you must be feeling at this moment. PS I got most of my strenght back and go to the gym and do everything just fine. Other people cannot tell what happened to me except my neuro, chiro and myself. I am a little weaker on the right side and walk slower also. My balance is not so good either. But I am determined and train hard. God bless you Let us know the results. |
