My car was just broken into in BROAD DAYLIGHT!! And I park right in front of the office!! My co-worker found some of my stuff behind the office and came in and told me about it.

The idiots stole my old purse, which was full of junk and basically ended up with 10 bucks in change and they took my coinholder (part of the car) with all my change in it.

Thank god they didn't get all my DVD's and my portable DVD player that was in the backseat for the kids. I got very lucky there. They also did not take my suitcase I had packed for convention so I got REALLY lucky in that instance.

ANYWAYS, just wanted to vent because this really ticks me off. I swear. The nerve of some people!! I can't believe it happened in broad daylight is what gets me.

Bloody hell, I thought the only people who robbed you blind in broad daylight were taxi drivers and the government :o
That sucks Donna, has any damage been done to your car?

No damage to the car, I had the window open just enough to keep it from getting blistering hot in there. Somehow they opened it.

I am not going to complain any more about it though. I just found in the alley behind the office the plastic case that had my daughters first two teeth in it. God really does watch out for us, I would have been devastated had I lost those.

I hope they choke on the beer/drugs they used my money to buy.

There is a bright side. You've recovered something that is very important to you, nobody was harmed, no damage to the car, and with the change they took, it's gotta be really really cheap bad beer or the tiniest little hit of whatever drug they're after. And BESTEST OF ALL - your suitcase is still there and still packed!

Dam punks probly !!!! Ten bucks will get them sum drugs or cigs........lazy basterds. I had PUNK RAGE yesturday at Walmart. Sum loud mouthed chick was drivein a group of em around in a small car and cruised behind and past me 'quietly' as I was loadin groceries into my truck. All of a sudden the bitch yelled 'BLAHHHH' and scared the shit outa me and I jumped. They all started laughin there asses off and took off to go park. I finished loadin my stuff and took off and found where they parked and drove up behind them and sat a minute.......as she shut off the engine and all ready to get out "I laid on the horn" and startled them. As they ALL turned around to see who it was I flipped them off up close and personal and took off. Gettin even sure makes ya feel a bit better.....punk-in-ator Pam

I was in Dubai in the summer of 1991, oil wells still ablaze in the gulf. The guy who picked me up from the airport stopped at an Indian restaurant to pick up some take-away food for us to have for dinner. As I got out of his car, I looked for the lock (I had a laptop in my briefcase), and he asked me what I was looking for. When I told him, he said, "Don't worry about locking it. People here know that if they get caught stealing, they'll get their hand cut off."

Works for me. I'm finding myself to be more and more of an "Old Testament" kind of guy.

:o Girl! I'm just glad they left behind all your other stuff. Unbelievable, but yup, could have been worse.

Relax, breathe, and keep your eyes peeled. Hope things go more smoothly from this point, you need a break! Sheesh!

The same tihng happened to my son while he was in Church last month. They broke the window, dented the trim around the door, and stole his stereo. Unfortunately they hit twelve other cars between our Church and another jusst down the road. I have no words for this act.

Just a fluke, I guess. I won't believe that we have managed to sink to this level.
