Title: Another question
Post by ShadowLord on Jul 7th, 2006, 8:15am
Think about the one thing in your life that you so wholeheartedly, completely, faithfully believe in, that it has shaped your very being.  Now think about this... What if you are wrong?

Please don't post your answers...  I don't wanna know your answers... And I don't want anyone to accuse me of having an agenda with your answers.  Just think about it... That's all.

Then you lived a good life helping others and doing it because it was the right thing to do.

Mike

Sorry but had to do it.

OK, I thought it over, and no, I was not wrong.

I've only been wrong once.

It was one time when I thought I was wrong, but it turned out I was right.

I'm 53, divorced after 35 years of marraige, I'm thinking my whole life may have been wrong to this point.
Nope-I'm over it.  Got four beautiful sons (and great citizens) to show for it.  Looking ahead now, not back.   ;;D

Nope.  One thing I wholeheartedly believed in,  I did.  And it wasn't wrong then, and it's not wrong now, and I'd do it again.

I wan't wrong either!   ;;D

Pretty easy to read on the other thread, to get people to question their faith.

Why do we think there is a hidden agenda?

By the way, most of my personality is ch based.  Sad, isn't it.

It is kinda sad. I hope someday you can see it differently (that ch won't be the dominating factor in your life or your personality). Interesting that your name starts with Ch. I have a ch in my last name, too.

[smiley=huh.gif] Ahh what kind of question is that? Live and learn, trial and error, all part of life and if you were happy when you did it whatever it was or is then god bless and move on...live and learn...thats that.. 8)

I know you asked us not to post our answers...only to ponder to ourselves but I gotta do it!
I have faith that there is nothingness after death...it scares the sh*t outta me though. I can only hope that I'm wrong.
IMO, eternity in hell for being a non-believer is better than nothingness...at least there would be some kind of existence (even if it were a nightmarish spiritual hell). I really don't think that God (if it exists) would send me to hell for questioning his existence though. I have 25 commandments or "Golden Rules" that I live by ( that's 15 more than you KIDDING KIDDING ).
I am not religious but I am a good person and hold myself up to a VERY HIGH moral standard. If there is a hell, I'm not sure that the God that -I think- may exist will send me there...hope that made sense  :-/

My point is...
I hope like hell that everthing I wholeheartedly, completely, faithfully believe in is wrong.

Wrong? Can't get there from here pal.
Green water or blue?
Its attitude that makes the difference.
