Okay... All the gay bashing, preachin', and tub-thumping in the other thread got me thinkin' about something.  Just a quick poll... Something to ponder, and answer honestly.  Please no insults, name calling, hate mongering, preaching, debating, christian bashing, or bible thumping here... Save it for the other thread.  Just two quick questions.  Please answer honestly and seriously, and please don't try to explain your answer.  Of course, you don't have to reply to the thread with your answer if you do not wish to, but at least think about the questions.  

Question #1:  Do you believe homosexuality is wrong? (Just the specific way of life... Not the ideology, theories, specific ppl, politics, or various other branches of the tree)

Question #2:  If you were to wake up tomorrow to find that you were somehow miraculously, irreversibly changed into a member of the opposite sex (not just a sex change operation, but the whole kit and kaboodle with all the organs normally given to that gender fully functioning)... Would you rather be straight or gay/lesbian?

My answers:

#1:  No.

#2:  Lesbian

You have a good point here. With everyone fighting about if it's right or wrong nobody thought about what if it was themselves and how they wanted to be respected.

2.  Straight - because the gay lifestyle is so difficult (and often impossible) for so many people to accept - as can readily be seen on this board.

#1 - Yes, I do think it's wrong. IMO  . I wasn't raised to believe that it's a right thing to do or the sane way to be.

#2 - That's a terribly hypothetical question that we really wouldn't know how to answer unless it actaully happened ... but I don't see how I could ever be romantically or sexually attracted to guys. I guess if I woke up tommorrow as a lady, I'd be a lesbian very *friendly* person !!

Why you would honestly want to go there again today after seeing all the friction from yesterday's "Am I a bad Dad" thread I just don't understand. Geez!

I personally value you all for your input in how we all cope with Cluster Headaches, what experience we all bring to coping and managing our affliction. But, could give a rat's ass about any of your sexuality, proclivities, or fantasies. Another opportunity for everyone to check in, to see if anyone has "gone gay" or "found morality" or whatever, is reminiscent of listening to a bunch of 12 year old boys who just learned to use the "you fag", "am not" "are too" conversation in endless repetition.

I care deeply about how EACH of you finds a way through Cluster Headache but care none at all about whether you like to see bare asses in parades.

My $0.35 today.

Actually... I was trying to avoid the bashing and beating, and trying to start a purely philosophical discussion.  That is why I asked that people not try to explain their answers, and stick to simple answers, and even said that you shouldn't reply if you do not wish to  Why is it, that you need to drag the crap in here?  Doesn't this board have a section that strictly deals with CH?  If all you want is to support and be supported about CH, wouldn't it be more benefitial to you to stick to the CH specific topics?  Now if you don't mind, perhaps others may be able to actually read a serious thread without the need to immediately flame anyone who participates in it.  Thank you.

How could you ask questions like those and expect a "purely philosophical discussion" without other comments or 'bashing' ? Why would you care if we think homosexuality is right or wrong? Why would you want to know if we would ever become a homosexual if the circumstances were right? Is there a hidden agenda? Are you still 'in the closet' ? (Just asking...don't take it as a personal attack,because it's not!)

Actually...  As I've said before... If you don't want to post your answers... Don't.  They concern me not.  No agenda...

It is easy to be conservative or liberal, most are born into it.  It is easy to be homophobic or not, many are born into that too...  Although in either case, your view may change with experience.  But it is not easy to honestly answer a simple question that can turn the tables on your views.  Dwell into the question far enough, and you may find that your views are not as simple as you may think.  Once that happens, then maybe a true philisophical discussion could be had... But not in this thread.  This thread is only my attempt to make you think.

Yes you have the right to think and say as you feel.  It is not my right or responsibility to judge you, or anyone else.  And for your information... No... I am not in the closet on any level.  In fact, you may find many here who may find me a bit too honest at times... Although I'm sure you'll find just as many if not more who may think I'm just full of bullshit.

Would I be gay or straight?   Wierd question, as it would depend on if I had the exact same brain. Since I'm straight now I have to assume I would be straight then. (But I would be a Ho!)

Each person must decide for themselves what is wrong or right for them. People do choose wrongly in any case they believe that hurting others is right for them. Otherwise they must decide for themselves if what they do is good or bad. There are many ways to do this, including how you feel,  religious text, and just plain asking God.

I know what I believe is right and wrong for me but I will not judge others.
