We had to cancel everything. :'( I am scheduled for surgery on Friday the 7th and won't be able to fly. My monster nose bleeds are causing problems and I have to have a septoplasty Friday morning. Apparently the way my septum is laying they can't get to the blood vessel that keeps rupturing causing the nosebleeds - septum has to be corrected so when I do get the nosebleeds they can get to the blood vessel to cauterize it. Not at all looking forward to this but I would rather have 1 last nose packing than to keep going through the 4 hour bleeds and ending up with packing up my nose anyway. NOT FUN! We are going to use our tickets to go to NYC at Thanksgiving to visit my best friend so hoping maybe we can meet up with some east coasters then. Have a great time everyone! I'm very upset about all this - I had such a great time last year and I know what I'm missing out on this year. :'( Post lots of pictures please!

I'm not going to get to go to the convention(s) either ... so we're both missing out there. Sorry about the surgery, hope it helps you alot and everything goes smooth.

Well the surgery was at 930 yesterday morning and I really wish I could rewind time and just go to work yesterday morning instead of the hospital! :'( I know it will be worth it in the long run but right now I am in complete misery. My nose is about 2 times it's normal size.. very unattractive and hurts like, well, I don't even have anything to compare it to! Chris asked me last night on a KIP scale how bad it hurt. It was an 8. I can't wait for the packing to come out on Monday. I am supposed to go back to work on Tuesday but I'm not so sure about that! Just thought I would update.

Glad your surgery worked out well, but sorry about the nose packing. That's got to be just awful. Hope you feel better real soon.

I'm also sorry that I'll not get the chance to meet you in Milwaukee. Next year though - right!
