Personally, I wish everyone a "Happy Independence Day." When I hear "4th of July," it just sounds like another day on the calendar. But when I hear "Independence Day" it reminds me and others what the holiday is really about, namely freedom from tyranny.

But I know your heart is in the right place, and I thank you (from the bottom of my independent heart). ;;D

Thanks Wild! I will be chasing fireworks all day probably starting tonight. Fire Dept on standby again starting 6:00pm till wed am 6:00.
Even though we are getting some spotty rain still not enough.

Brewcrew is right, 4th of July is just to PC for me as well, like at Christmas saying happy holidays instead of marry Christmas.

Michael thank you for starting this and for giving us such a great complement, I think to many people forget what this holiday is all about.

Thanks Wild. The 4th, aside from Independence Day, is the beginnig of all kinds of good stuff for the season.

This is a great place to be. The older one gets, the more it's felt.

Hi

I am still at work……. we do work on the 4th of July
but soon I will go home at 4pm (its now 12 noon) and¨
will go to the Lack and have fun and BBQ (it’s a must)

To the Americans: you are a shining beacon for the free world
it is a cliché but I do believe in it…….. and all the problems you have or don’t have at home in the USA, well as I do not pay for it (TAX), I have nothing to say about it…. its your business… the same way I wouldn’t like you to tell us / me in my country how to run things…..
