Yip, stage fright but then again... my mind is not what it used to be, so one thought quickly overpowers the other.

That's why I type out a summary of everything I want to say before I go, including questions.  I usually shut down emotionally at the dr's office.  The last time, I didn't shut down but I tried to jump up and run out. The Dr talked me into coming back and actually answered as  many of my questions as he could.

I heard the doc talkin to his staff in the hall outside the door about lunch and where did the girls want to go......heard the one girl yell she was goin to the mexican resturant rite ow next door and reserve a table for 8 people and would be "waiting"......so I felt he was in a hurry. I felt I'd be the one holding them all up if I became a 'chatty Pammy'. But then I guess he should know if I am not complainin then whatever meds he has me on are working so I don't need to explain ? My dime is his dollar Pam

I usually write ou a list of what I want to say because I'm old and forget.

Went to an ENT one time (first visit). He came in (after a couple of tests) and say down and started writing up his chart. When I'd ask a question he's mumble "Hmmm" or something. When he finished writing his chart he got up and started out of the room.

I came off the table and grabbed him by his collar and told him to sit his rear down. "Now I haven't asked how much you're charging me for this visit, but it's too much and I'm planning to get my money's worth! Now we can discuss the weather, the real estate market, or your credentials. OR we could discuss what the hell is wrong with me! You make the call!"

From that day on, when I'd visit him, he'd write up his chart and then close it and cross his legs and we'd discuss things.

sometimes you just gotta get their attention....

I forget shit at the doc's office all the time.
However, one thing I will not forget my next visit is to take some grease along, that way it will be easier to remove my foot from his ass.  [smiley=laugh.gif]

Don't forget the video camera.

Actually, I have an email relationship with my new doc that I got when I joined the board here in February.  It's still new, but he seems willing to talk & to think.  I'm very apprehensive.

I just filled my last maxalt mlt so I have to contact him.  I stopped taking the Paxil & am using kudzu.  But I still need the maxalt mlt.
