Title: Give me Post by alienspacebabe on Jun 20th, 2006, 4:26pm Can ya spare some vibes/prayers for me? Something's wrong in my jaw - possible failure of the surgery on at least one side. The pain is extreme - sharp, hard. Nothing's helping kill the pain. and.... they can't get me into the office until July 5th. Can't eat. Can't sleep. Hurts like heck to smoke, yawn, swallow. Demand they see you yesterday to follow up on their surgery, (or you will seek another opinion to build your Malpractice case against them) that last bit is only half joking. Like her explaining it wasn’t good enough, they treated her like she was a druggy looking for pills instead of someone in pain needing help. So if you have someone to go with you do it and sit there until they see you and take care of your pain. Ask them, isn’t it your job to relieve suffering? That will get there attention and you can report them for not giving you the care you need. I am really sorry you are hurting and hope you feel better really soon, just don’t take no for an answer, ok? Matt |

There has to be some 15 minute time window they can fit me in.... I'm taking percocet and a muscle relaxer. They're not working- just barely taking the edge off the pain. It's frustrating. |

Title: Re: Give me Post by cootie on Jun 20th, 2006, 11:28pm That is total bullshit........they do the surgery and need to follow up PRONTO if sumthin is wrong and check it out and not let it get worse. What if there is an infection or sumthin.......that isn't sumthin they WANT to let go. I got an infection in some dental work years ago and it made me SICK.....the dentist was VERY concern'd when I called sayin it had been hurting all weekend and I begun to feel tired and lousey and he fit me in ASAP !! If the 'perc's aren't working it has to be bad........you may want to try increaseing the dose which may take that edge off then go back to the normal dose. I AM NOT a doctor to give meds advice but that is what I do when it gets bad enuff for breakthru pain and my doc said that is COOL. So mite want to get there advice first........I'd worry about infection or nerve damage if it hurts that bad now tho. Hopefully it is all TEMPORARY tho. I got more percocet and muscle relaxers. They took another 360 xray (apparently I have an exceedingly ugly left joint LOL) They're sending in a preapproval form for more surgery. and I have been asked to call if things get worse.
