a side story last week they had a ceromony at my nephew christophers old highschool.the raised the flag that was over the state capital on the anniversary of Christophers death in Iraq.The local VFW and the christopher pusateri all airbourne post in pa did the ceromony it was amzing seeing them raise the flag in Christophers honor

It's one of those days that not many remember. Few newspapers mention it. I still run one up on the 14th. It's not political.

Our local paper prints a full page flag for people to put in thier windows. Of course they sell advertising on the other side, which violates the Flag Code. They mean well.

Lately, I've been flying the Betsy Ross flag. I like the looks of the 13 stars in a circle, and it's the flag of the Founders, the folks who fought the Revolution and wrote the Constitution. We could use some of those folks around right now.

The Betsy was never the official flag of the US, by the way, but it's the one George Washington liked.
