Title: continuation of the thread on “Medications, Treatm Post by wildhaus on Jun 12th, 2006, 3:04pm Hi This Post is a continuation of the thread on “Medications, Treatments, Therapies” Topic: “started a “new” treatment” which was started by me……… and from a thread meant to give a insight to a treatment which could help me (and some of us who might be interested) to deal better (efficiently) with the effects that the CH brings along; the anxiety, the frustration, anger and more…..! Unfortunately it turned into a “battle” ground, and for that I am very sorry………. and my apologies to all that do come to this board to look for Ideas and hints that could help to get a better control over our mutual problem – CH Quote:Newbies. Just what everyone needs. A treatment that will not stop the beast or reduce the pain! Yes I am new – how happy I am that I “just” had to deal with CH for, 1.5 years. Yes I do, (and some of us), need help to overcome not just the pain but also the effects that the CH brings along: anxiety, the frustration, anger and more! Quote: start listening to sufferers who have been here a few years Not only I but my wife went through most of the posts, which are relevant to CH! And digested numerous articles, and publications, on and off the net, as well as talking to top neuro’s and pain specialists here in Europe It’s not always experience = knowledge! I can say that the knowledge accumulated by now between my wife and myself is if not good it’s sufficient to have an opinion, and to be able to weed out treatments which could fall under scams or just simply charlatans taking advantage of our situation! Quote:I had a whole string of uneducated Docs administer those treatments in my first 25 years until I found something useful. I am very sorry for you that you had to wait such a long time, to find the right treatment for you; and yet it does not give you the right Quote:”Want effective treatment. Get a CH educated neuro” to tell me my neuro is no good(?) – she is a top qualified neuro! And the team that helps me to get control over my CH is a very competent team! I was diagnosed correctly after a very “short” time, and the treatment, some with better some with lesser effect were tailored for me In a relatively very short time as well. The nature of CH is not for each and every one the same formula! So it took some time to find the right on for me, But it didn’t take 25 years! have you ever thought, the long waiting time, could have been on your own accord…. it seems you have all the knowledge…. and the rest are just “dumb”, it seems you like to hear only what is right and correct by your book and all the rest are wrong. Might be a good way to go trough life…… but only for you! Quote: In between hits get on with the life the hits take away. Play with your kids, dine out with the wife, pet the dog, take a walk, go fishing, etc. etc. I not only have a life, I have fun and joy…. One can say I have seen life on the bright side! despite CH, but I’ll be dammed if Ill let the said effects of my CH be untouched or ignored, I will do every thing in my power to get those effects under better control! I have no desire to continue this (sorry) dumb and most unproductive discussion as I have a life and work to do, Its just that I could not have let a fellow sufferer go and doubt my integrity and intelligence! Or for that matter of my so dedicated doctors My apologies to all in clusterville, for obusing the Medications, Treatments, Therapies board I didn’t expect it to turn this way – I simply stated a new line of support or rather treatment for ME… Michael |

Title: Re: continuation of the thread on “Medications, Tr Post by Charlotte on Jun 12th, 2006, 3:18pm As usual, I've missed something here. We are all different from each other, and also from our own previous experience. Medical personnel with experience in ch can be helpful or not helpful - because what works at one time may not work at another time. I value your opinion. Charlotte |

Title: Re: continuation of the thread on “Medications, Tr Post by ABarham on Jun 12th, 2006, 3:53pm Michael - you have my support. I think that most people who are new here, have found themselves here looking for help. I know I have been here almost daily for the last 6 months looking for anything for my son to try. I appreciate any suggestion anyone has. All anyone can do is to try, if something doesn't work, then move on to the next suggestion, and on and on until, if and when you find something that works for you. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that we appreciate any suggestion that anyone has. Some of the really off the wall stuff could work for some and not others. While 02 works for some and not others. We have to keep exploring. Before you say it Chewy, I know I am a newbie here, but I am as desperate as anyone else to find something that works for my son. It is making an old woman out of me to have to watch him go thru this day after day and we will look at anything anyone has to suggest. love to all Mama Weezer |
