been getting hit heavy since 8:00 am. had a doc appt. at 9:30, went anyway and did not kill myself or anyone else. i have been on my usual verap and for the last week Lyrica 75mgs tad. the doc wants me to push the Lyrica to 150 mgs tad and maintain the verap dose even though the new shit increases the effects of the verap.

does anyone have any info on this stuff? i told him that i had tried hbwr seeds and stayed on the verap with no success horrible nausea that lasted for hours. he did not respond with negativity which surprised me but he did not encourage me when i told him i wish i could just fly back to where i used to live in oregon and pick a shitload of liberty caps and be done with this experimenting with new pharms.

i am rambling, this shitstartedwaytoo early in the day for me and each hit is getting worse so i am scared that i am going to hit 10 before very long.

I haven't tried it, but it has a chemical profile and mode of action similar to neurontin (neurontin is gabapentin and lyrica is pregabapentin) - there are lots more people here that have tried neurontin. Careful if the dosage is different between the two.

We describe the use of gabapentin in the treatment and prophylaxis of cluster headache in a patient who was refractory to other treatments. CASE REPORT: A 38-year-old man had a history of intermittent right-side headaches for 24 years, diagnosed as cluster headache. He received only partial relief from a range of conventional treatments. A trial with gabapentin 300 mg twice daily was tried and found to be effective in treatment and prophylaxis of his headaches. CONCLUSION: Gabapentin was effective in the treatment of a patient with cluster headache. Further investigation of gabapentin compared with conventional treatments and placebo is warranted.

Prompted by the results of gabaergic drugs, such as valproate and topiramate, we performed this pilot study to assess the effect of gabapentin in cluster headache. Eight patients suffering from episodic cluster headache and four suffering from chronic cluster headache were studied. All of them had failed to respond to traditional prophylactic drugs. The design of the study was an open trial. The main parameter for effectiveness was the number of daily attacks. Gabapentin was given at the daily dosage of 900 mg. All patients were pain free after a maximum of 8 days after starting therapy, with a bout duration thus reduced to 16-40% of the average previous bouts (only applies to episodic cluster patients). We hypothesize that the gabaergic action of gabapentin, perhaps combined with other mechanisms, such as calcium channel blockade, may be responsible for its remarkable effects on cluster headache.

Flo, iwas just logging off when thsi came through . thanks i think that was very kind for you to dig that up for me considering the way i have treated you lately!! . I shouild have figured you would be theone to know i have already tried a long runand pushedthe doses to the limit with neuroontin and it turns you into a zombie!!! very bad medicine.

Like Bob says, what happens in political threads stays in political threads. When it comes to the medicine part, disagreements on that other stuff is irrelevant. Hope you get some relief.

'Nearly' the same thing as nerontin isn't it.......but modified slightly......my doc wanted me to add it in for back pain but I took nerontin before and it made me drunk or dopey which didn't go over well. I'm not drunk I'm just livein Pam
