Title: Whats for Sunday Dinner? Post by Redd715 on Jun 11th, 2006, 5:49pm Been a while since I did one of these posts. Thought I might raise this subject from the dead. Because the weather is chilly and the sky looks like it could break open any second and rain a cold early summer rain, we decided to have Home made Chicken Noodle Soup( heavy on the chicken and lots of thick Kluski noodles) with fresh baked Crusty Dinner Rolls. Mel knows what Kulski Noodles are don't ya Mel? ;) |

Title: Re: Whats for Sunday Dinner? Post by Paul98 on Jun 11th, 2006, 7:10pm Yep, Kluski's the best for chicken/turkey soup. Suckers don't disintergrate when cooked for a long time. Don't have a name for what I'm makin but: 3 lbs plumb tomatos 2 large leeks bunch of green onions head (not clove) of garlic 2 mdm zuccini 2 large bunches fresh basil 1/4 lb fresh grated romano 1/2 cup virgin (no, it never had sex) olive oil Quarter tomatos, slice leeks, ziccini, onions, chop basil, press garlic and mix with oil in large bowl along with romano. Let sit over night. Bake next day in covered pan @ 350 until tomatos are not quite soft. Serve over angle hair noodles top with romano. That's tonight's dinner and lunches for a week. ;;D -P. |
