Title: Headache home remedies Post by taraann on Jun 8th, 2006, 8:45am Was surfin the web for athletes foot and eczema home remedies and ran across this headache home remedy page. Some of these are hilarious. This one really cracked me up .... "I 've had migraines for 3 years now. I've found that if you rubpeanut butter on you genitals the headache will usually subside in about 6 hours. always works for me." http://www.otan.dni.us/webfarm/emailproject/mis14.htm |

Title: Re: Headache home remedies Post by BobG on Jun 8th, 2006, 8:59am LMAO! [smiley=laugh.gif] Does it say creamy or chunky? I don't care for the chunky style. It gets stuck in my diastema. Wonder what that person was doing to discover that cure. ::) |

Title: Re: Headache home remedies Post by FramCire on Jun 8th, 2006, 9:59am The peanut butter thing DOES work (NO JOKE) for cluster headaches. Again, I am not kidding. Do as it says and it WILL respond as it said. Use as an abortive only though, it will not prevent future HAs. I know I will get ridiculed for saying this but I guarantee you that %75 of all CHs will respond to this treatment as it was written above. You can also put spackle on your backside and let it dry, rub the blood of 3 wasps on your lips, or tape your elbows together with colored (blue or red) duct tape and get the same effect. AGAIN, I am not joking. Then again doing nothing will also abort a CH in 6 hours or less usually too. |

Interesting. I've never heard of a CH'er trying these methods. Would you volunteer to be the first one here to give it a whirl and let us know how long it took and any side effects from it ? ( No joke ) Please also provide details on type of PB and how much in ounces (or pounds) you'll be trying. UNsolved ;;D |

Title: Re: Headache home remedies Post by taraann on Jun 8th, 2006, 11:15am While your at it try this one..... "Bend a wire hanger inward. Put the hanger on your head so that it is very tight. Leave the hanger on for about half an hour. You might look a little funny with a hanger on your head, but believe me, it works!" ;;D |

Title: Re: Headache home remedies Post by Paul98 on Jun 9th, 2006, 7:42pm After a long and careful consideration, I have determined that the above peanut butter remedy needs further scientific experimentation to either prove or disprove its merit for treatment of Cluster Headache. I’m sure you all appreciate the great personal sacrifice I’m willing to make, (in the name of science of course) to further our understanding of effective treatments of Cluster Headache. In order to establish the accuracy of the results, the experiment will need to be carried out in triplicate, +/- chunky. To insure there is no “bias” to the application of the PB, I’ll need a female assistant ;;D to do the liberal and vigorous application of the PB to the aforementioned anatomical region. Hopefully after the results are statistically analyzed, we can determine the effectiveness of PBJ (peanut butter treatment) on CH and add it to our arsenal against the beast. If you are female, single, interested in science and have prior experience with peanut butter you can PM me with cover letter and resume’. I know this is a huge sacrifice for me to make in the name of science but it has to be done! ;;D ;;D Oh yea, I’m kidding…. [smiley=laugh.gif] -P. |
