Title: Stress, Work, and CH
Post by chewy on Jun 7th, 2006, 7:49am
Subject of CH came up at my annual review last week. Boss asked how I was doing with the headaches.

I told her that stress prevented CH attacks and I am now into my 4th year of remission.

How long have you been with us she asks.

Going into my 4th year I said.

She has a pretty good sense of humor. After a pensive pause she breaks into a big smile and says:

Well...........Glad we could help! I have a special project for you again.

LMAO!

Stress does the same for me.  Seems to keep the beast at bay.  My boss gives me looks like I'm a nut case when I keep asking for more work load.

Funny how most (non CH) folks think stress brings on cycles.

Glad your boss has a sense of humor Chew.

SAME HERE!  I'm constantly going, going, going, my boss looks at me like a superstar, just can't grasp that I actually WANT more work....

I just don't stop 'cuz once my brain goes on "rest" its all over!   :D

Am I the only one who feels stress is a trigger?

It doesn't start a cycle or even a HA for me, but when I am stressed they seem to be worse.

Too much or too little stress are the culprits for me.  Need to stay in a balance or yes, the hits are worse.

The end of a stressful situation will trigger mine or make them worse. But sometimes just stress alone will bring them on. Although they are not as bad as the end of a stressful event. Does this make any sense to anyone else.

Gee Don, do you need an assistant? I'm about caught up here at the office and need STRESS..... I'm one who can't relax either.

Oh well, I've taken on my four year old grandson and he's HYPER so stress is part of our daily routine. Don't know what the twerp is going to get into next.

Stress seems to be the best enviroment for me. My Ch is less intense, and they are farther apart. Heat on the other hand is killer.
