Title: Jones - Where are you??? Post by Lizzie2 on Jun 5th, 2006, 7:14pm OK Randy - I was just out in Swarthmore again, and I called your cell phone because as I was leaving the theatre I realize the following: "Look Ma, No BREAKS!!!!" :o I drove up the Blue Route and all the way home with almost no breaks.....I was calling you to see if you had any break fluid!! My dad is meeting him here because I determined that if I went slow enough, I could make it back to my apartment at least. Next time, be home when I have an emergency, damnit!!! ;) Oh and for anyone else wondering, I survived and my heart is still in my throat... LOL |

Title: Re: Jones - Where are you??? Post by Mr. Happy on Jun 5th, 2006, 9:07pm Shit. Sorry Liz. I seem to suck at cell phone. Didn't know you called until this came up. Always set it for Ring Real Loud, but somehow, it magically resets itself to Vibrate or Silent. Would have been _Glad_ to spot you some brake fluid, even if it came from my own brakes. Still, that's no reason for going Auto Surfing on the Blue Route. The life you save could be mine. Damned kids. RJ |

Title: Re: Jones - Where are you??? Post by Lizzie2 on Jun 5th, 2006, 11:42pm As it turns out....it isn't just the brake fluid. My brakes are shredded. My car is in the shop right now. My dad came to the rescue and loaded the car up with brake fluid because it was completely dry, but then he notices that the brakes are grinding metal on metal. Umm...errr..... I swear that loud rumbling noise wasn't the brakes in my mind - but I guess it was.... :-/ He wouldn't even let me drive home. I drove his car back and he followed me. If it's anywhere near $1000 to fix all that's wrong with the car, then I'm saying screw it and buying a new car. My car is so ghetto-ized right now that it's not even funny. It's been keyed, the sideview mirror is smashed, both rear hubcaps are gone, it's got paint smears on the front right bumper from god knows what because I haven't been in any accidents with it, and now this... My dad says it's the perfect car for working in Philadelphia.... ;) But it only cost about $3000, so if it's really expensive to fix it all, then it ain't worth it. Sux.... Can't believe I'm getting on a freaking plane on 6/6/06 after this happened, too! Pray for me.. LOL |
