No attachment, no nothing. Application had to be submitted via their website, and before I could even close out the window after it accepted the application, I got this back in my email. (My addy removed for privacy reasons) Is this how the Worlds Largest Travel Insuance Company handles applicants? I know the Owner/Founder of this company, and have been to his home with my children. I think I'll print this off and mail it to him directly. |

Title: Re: Another case of.... Post by Melissa on May 25th, 2006, 1:45pm Pegg, I worked there for 2 1/2 years. Unless you don't mind working with a bunch of snot nosed stuck up bitches, then by all means! I worked in Customer Service, fielded over 100 calls a day among helping out the other departments, like processing. I was looked over twice for a raise, was told I sound like a "hick" on the phone, and everyone was forced to attend a Stephen Covey workshop. ::) So, what'd you go to John's house for? LOL (btw, when I applied, it was in person) |

Title: Re: Another case of.... Post by Redd715 on May 25th, 2006, 1:55pm My application was thew Jobnet, and it was posted to apply via their website. They are looking for a Training and Quality Assurance Assitant Manager, and I have experience in that area with call centers. Reason I was at John's place, is that my kids rode on his float about 6 years back for the Xmas Parade, while I was with the van for the radio station I worked for. I was dating his maintanance manager at the time is how I met John. He had a huge pizza party after the parade at his place. (following instructions when applying for work is a bad thing these days I guess) [smiley=laugh.gif] |

Title: Re: Another case of.... Post by Melissa on May 25th, 2006, 1:59pm Maintenance Mngr. Was that in the Computer Dept.? ;;D Hey, go outside the lines hon! NEVER follow instructions. ;) [smiley=laugh.gif] (btw, I am an excellent worker, whether it be on the phone, or on the assembly line. That's the 1st job I had where I really truely didn't "fit in" with everyone personality wise. Is that a bad thing?) |

Title: Re: Another case of.... Post by Melissa on May 25th, 2006, 2:06pm Ahhhhhhhhh, I see. Well, all I can suggest is to maybe give them a call to make sure your app. was received and the response you got? Hey, have you checked out Sentry or Land's End at all? |

Title: Re: Another case of.... Post by Redd715 on May 25th, 2006, 2:09pm Ex Hubby's GF works at Sentry (she and I do NOT get along at all) so that is out. Lands end has been laying off people for the last 2 years. No openings, and since they are now a part of JCPenny Co. they pay for crap for new hires when they have spots and it's all PT so no ins. or other bennies. (Shhh I got this from the inside so Hush Hush) [smiley=laugh.gif] |

Title: Re: Another case of.... Post by Melissa on May 25th, 2006, 2:15pm Well shit, that sucks. :( Only other places I can think of are Herrschners, Sunrise Medical, Donaldsons (ya never know), St. Michaels (actually, they're hiring all the time. I wanted to apply for a Greeter, but I'd screw up everyone else's lives here at home) and then of course there's Flex Staff and ABR. ::) I've had luck with ABR in the past, dunno if you've used them yourself. Good luck to ya Pegg and let me know if you need anything! :) |
