Title: Titts for tatts............ Post by cootie on May 23rd, 2006, 11:22pm There was just a short segment on the local news about sum tattoo convention sumwhere and they called them MUTILATIONS of the extreme !!! I have alot of them TASTEFULLY done with a plan that has fineally come together.......lots of large tigers and blackwork. Tatts have been around since 'stone age'......people did them or had them done to show 'status' or journeys in life.....mine all have alot of meaning. Yeah I know there NOT for everyone.......but that pissed me off. They did show a few people with pierceings and the big holes in the ears that are a bit extreme but that isn't NEW either. Wierd thing is this new implant stuff there doing and implanting balls in there arms or cuttin them in half slideing them into the skin or on joints so they can roll them around when bored or stressed or for fun. Gee I have somea them lumps on my spine and a few other joints without implants......doin that IS a bit bazzaar and not sure why they like that but................to each his own Pam Just thought I'd speak up on the matter........I love tatts............. |

Tattoo's, piercings, branding, scaring, all forms of ancient body modification/beautification that continue to be practised in Non-Western parts of the world ritualisticly, and is not viewed as anti-social or defiant behavior. What slays me, is the fact that Western society DOES view this as defiant and anti social, unless the body modification is performed by Doctors in the Plastic Surgery Clinics. Nips and tucks and implants and suctions and injections and the breaking and sawing of bones and cartalidge untill a person feels as though they "finaly look good" is totally acceptable behavior and has even been exhaulted to desireable behavior by such shows as Extreem Makover and the Swan. Which practise is truely mutilation? The hypocrisy just slays me. Pegg (who has 3 tattoos and plans on another one or three) |

Post by cootie on May 25th, 2006, 12:47am Yeah Redd that's kinda what I mean too with all the plastic surgeries and all bein ok but addin colors and meaningfull things is bad to sum. The balls I was talkin about are sum sort of little hard rubber balls I guess they cut in half that are small and make an incision in the skin and shove it thru to set where you want it under the skin and forms a LUMP. One guy had one on his big kunckel and BET if he had then grow there naturally from sum for of arthritis he'd not think it was too much fun or cool and want to touch the lump and move it around....OUCH !!! One guy had one inserted above his elbow.....my elbow swells and gets a hard knot just like the guy 'had created' for himself and my knuckles swell too. The do em in there foreheads to look like horns uner the skin.......I think that is all kinda freaky cuz you are NOT a devil or lizard or cat or whatever people try to recreate themselves to look like. So that runs along with plastic surgery to look like anouther person I guess ? The hangin by the metal hooks gives me the willies and sum friends that do my tatts go so some big shows and they do that there and swing the people around by hooks in there backs or knees or boobs.........THAT would bother me !!!!! It is goin to leave dreadful holes and damaged skin so I don't see the point for it. Nor do I like the split tongue stuff either. I won't mention whatever else there splitting......those people have GOT to be sorryf or what they did SUMDAY on down the line ya'd think !!!! DISTORTING is one thing but that's not what tatt's are.....there just DETAILl. Detailed and proud of it Pam |
