Title: Re: Bush's Resume (Urban legand or fact?) Post by brewcrew on May 23rd, 2006, 4:40am I think the folks at Snopes say it best: "The George W. Bush "résumé," one of the most forwarded items of 2003, is a mixed bag of entries of varying degrees of truthfulness, many of them quite complex and/or subjective in nature. We haven't had the time to properly delve into the multiplicity of claims contained in it yet. However, because so many of our readers have asked us about this e-mail, we list here a couple of links to other sources which attempt to document (or refute) the items listed in the "résumé." (Please note we have in no way vetted the analysis or conclusions offered therein; we offer these links solely on a "let the reader beware" basis.) |

Title: Re: Bush's Resume (Urban legand or fact?) Post by Charlie on May 23rd, 2006, 11:25pm Not that Democrats are likely to take advantage of it, but someone said the best campaign thing that they could use was: "Had enough?" They need a Karl Rove to do that. No more softballs. Charlie |

The problem is that the Dems seem to think that they need to move toward the center to win. This move pisses off the Hard Core Dems and doesn't fool the Centrist(sp?). If they came out and said that they were on board with the likes of ELF, ALF and the Kennedy School of Driving ;), they may not win, but at least they would then be able to be honest with themselves. Another major problem I see is that the Dems continue to run against Bush. They don't seem to get the fact that he isn't running. Maybe it will work for them during the November elections, but I think not. Take it for what it is worth. Being a Republican, I don't care if the Dems ever win another election, just like I could care less if the Cub ever win another World Series...GO WHITE SOX! |
