Personally I want Mcain! He is my man! Mcain versus Cankle Clinton (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,196454,00.html) Rodger Cankle = Ambulance term for large ankles or ankles the size of knees. |

Title: Re: Next Election Post by Charlie on May 22nd, 2006, 8:54pm I'm a New Yorker...Upstater type where the Republicans are supposed to be....all but Buffalo which is as Democratic as it's ever been. Hillary is okay for us but I like Senator Dick Schumer even better. He knows how to grease the wheels up here. Like the rest of the Democrats, Hillary moves to the center for elections. Big mistake for them! I like McCain too but he's making rounds speaking at Jerry Falwell's Liberty University and moving to the right. That's disappointing. Still, I have serious doubts that Hillary could win. Perhaps if the GOP really goes overboard slinging mud but..... Charlie |

Title: Re: Next Election Post by Tom K on May 22nd, 2006, 9:18pm Ok, I'm going to post, so strap in... My BIGGEST concern with any election, no matter who is running is protecting the 2nd amendment. I am a shooter, have been since I was 6 and don't want my guns to go bye-bye. There have been some Dems who look after the 2nd, but for the most part, not. My feeling is that if you take away the 2nd, then the 1st falls shortly there after. Do I always agree with what the Repubs do? No, but for me it is the lesser of two evils. I have seen the Dems screw up things in Illinois pretty bad. Don't start with Ryan, cuz I didn't vote for him! Blogo has succeeded in fawking up this state on so many levels that there aren't enough posts to describe them all. He has driven jobs and companies from the state and jacked taxes up on all of us left to pay for the decreases. Not to mention the toll way fiasco. I don't follow the Religous Right, because they are a waste of time. You can't legislate morality, or jack god up to "stump" for you. If those are the two choices, then I don't know who would get my vote. McCain hasn't been "right", as in "That boy's not right", since he was returned after his stay as a POW and maybe not even befor then. Not trashing what the guy did for the country, just pointing something out, relax. If Schummer ran, I would probably fall over dead, or move to America, Jr. At least they are seeing what problems that had with banning private firearm posession... |

Title: Re: Next Election Post by deltadarlin on May 23rd, 2006, 10:15am I'm voting for Dumbo (damn have already voted him in several times already!). Why don't we just write Jonny in? Hellsbells, he's *king* here already. And I agree with you TomK, they'll pry my cold dead fingers off my pistol/firearms before I give them up. Interesting note here...back when Clinton was president (not sure of which term), he was trying to get a bill passed regarding firearms. *If* his bill had passed, my house would have been considered an *arsenal* because of the number of firearms we had and the amount of ammunition we had stored. |

I'm not saying he's Presidential stuff at all. I got off on a thing about NYS Senators. For western NY he's brought in some real cash. Not many of you know him. Senator, fine, President, not a chance. NRA would have a field day.....just to remind you: I've had a lot of guns in my life. The only reason I got rid of all of them here is that it's probably not a good idea for me because my seizures are different now. On the whole, NRA members are the safest gun owners and even with New York gun laws, guns are all over the place....most of them legal. Some of mine were. :o Most of you would fall over if you knew the stuff I've been offered from car trunks in front of my house. http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/gunner.gif Charlie |
