Sorry! I kinda broke a cardinal rule: I haven't been active since my last episode. I occasionally "checked in" to see if there was any new info....but haven't been posting. Now I'm in HELL again and need somebody to lean on. This is really my only crutch to help me get through this.

I'm having about a kip 5 now......trying to forget about it, and hoping this will help. Been getting only 3-4 a day, for 2-3 days in a row (sometimes more in a day) then getting a 2-3 day break. Pretty typical for me at the beginning of a cycle. It will get worse.

I need to know if there are any other sufferers in the West Michigan area, and if they've found a decent doctor. I'm seeing a pretty good one now, but I don't think he realizes what exactly it is he's dealing with. I (we) go through such HELL during an attack!! I don't think he gets it!! Love him dearly....he delivered all 3 of my children... but I just don't think he can handle this. So PLEASE, if there is anybody in my area that can point me in the right direction, I would GREATLY appreciate it.

IMO, one of the best CH doctors in the country is in Ann Arbor, MI.

I'm pretty sure that he is one of the guest speakers at the upcoming O.U.C.H. convention.

I would definitely check out the MHNI (Michigan Head-Pian and Neuorlogical Institute). It may be a bit of a drive from Grand Rapids, but it was the first Dr I had seen in my first 7-8 years with clusters that actually had a clue about how to treat them.

Look them up. My Dr was Weintraub.

Holy shit! Muskegon? Those are my old stompin' grounds... Used to live in North Muskegon, and work in the Heights when I was in high school. Unfortunately, I didn't get diagnosed 'til I moved to PA, so can't help ya with any docs. Cold always helped me, so maybe ya could try goin' to the lake for a quick swim? Should be very refreshing this time of the year. Good luck!

I am going to explore all the suggestions posted here. I guess my sister who suffers from pretty severe migraines knows a little about the clinic in Ann Arbor, and she also reccommended it. Personally, I never knew it existed!!

Awesome info. here people!! Thank you soooo much!

If anybody else has more, I would love to hear it, 'cuz nobody I've found around here seems to know much about CH (big suprise there!).

Check your PM's. My son lives in the Grand Rapids area, in Caledonia. Moved there a year ago last April.
He is also a clusterhead.

I'll be visiting up there on June 6-7 and 8th.

I'm already planning to meet 2 clusterheads along the way.....anymore along the western coast?
