Title: One Word
Post by clarence on May 15th, 2006, 11:31am
I was thinking this morning, and wondered what you all would say if used just one word to describe your CH.

I think mine would be: relentless

Others?

 I very much like karma and bee's response as i know it is a question we have all asked. since i am limited to one word and can't use the explanatory word slow i guess mine is;

                                 DEATH

Depends on the kip.  If it's a lower kip, then the word that comes to mind is "Why?" and if it's a higher kip, then the word that comes to mind is "Death."  I'm referencing everyone else, but they hit the nail on the head, no pun intended.

Bob P once used the word: "Exquisite" and I have found no more apt description.

Despair (De*spair), n.
[Cf. OF. despoir, fr. desperer.]

Loss of hope; utter hopelessness; complete despondency.

Though it is hard to argue with the previous suggestion of "Hell".

If im just talking about my HA's, the word is GONE.

After 30 chronic years they just went away, now im more scared than I ever was when I was chronic.

Great to hear that they're GONE  bro.

I can certainly understand the concern for their unexpected return.

Hopefully you are done with these little jewels.

I am glad that they are gone Jonny.

You identified something though, and I wonder if it is the worst part of this damn thing - EVEN when you don't have the ha's, the anxiety/fear is still present.  It is something that screws you with the pain AND with the lack of pain.

Torture.  That's a good one.  With headaches and without, the whole damn condition is torture.

For those who missed my Rocky III reference, my word is: pain

Physical, emotional, and psychological pain all wrapped up in one.

I hate this crap (CH)

Excruciating!

Thank God, I've been out of cycle 3 months now after being chronic for 8 years.

Yes Jonny, I know that fear. That 'constantly looking over your shoulder' feeling. Glad your still PF.

Peace,
Carl
