Title: Re: A giggle for parents........ Post by BarbaraD on May 13th, 2006, 9:30am What's so strange -- when I was little I had a pet watermelon that Daddy brought home one day. I LOVED my watermelon and kept it close at all times. When I'd come home from school my watermelon would be waiting for me. But one day, my watermelon wasn't at the door to meet me and I got really upset..... Daddy told me that my watermelon had gone to watermelon heaven and that he'd get me a cantalop the next day. The catalop was nice, but it just never took the place of my watermelon. Hugs BD |

Title: Re: A giggle for parents........ Post by nani on May 13th, 2006, 10:01am Aw, I think it's cute, too. Even if he's 5, LOL. It could be worse, you know. He could be obsessed with meat. My kids all had their "things". Fortunately they weren't food things, but stuffed toys. We couldn't go anywhere without them. Mooshie had this little terrycloth doll (actually she had 5 of them but didn't know it...I kept replacing the dirty one with a clean one) and Jobo had a 5 ft long stuffed snake, LOL. The snake wasn't washable, so you can imagine what that looked like by his 6th birthday. He's 12 now, and it's still on his bed. :-/ At least he isn't taking ot to his school dances. |

Title: Re: A giggle for parents........ Post by Melissa on May 13th, 2006, 8:36pm That is so cute! It is so funny how little kids have obsessions with things right off the bat. Eli is into cars, and not just any cars, they either have to be metal or have a hitch so he can pull stuff. He also likes to sleep with balloons and wear sissy's nailpolish. :-/ |
