Hey, I am not complaining - in fact my feelings are the opposite.

I've noticed some of my more "colorful" words have been changed to phrases like "not very nice person" and the like.

Apparently there is some rules here I've missed. I don't mean to be a "not very nice person" (when in Rome..) but I couldn't find the rules that would have been created by our host.

Anyone got a linky handy so I can conform?

If I am offended anyone in anyways I apologise.

I may not agree with you politically, but I do agree with the freedom of speach. If someone is offended by speach, then they have the right not to listen, just as you, I or anyone have the right to speak. I think it is more a matter of good taste. I know on other boards, they have a kid or two on them, and the people who run the board don't want to be responsible for "corrupting" the child. Personally, I think that it is a bunch of crap, that if the majority of people on the board are adults, then let freedom ring. If people get offended by swearing, what do they do when they encounter it out side in the "real" world? Just my $.02, take it or leave it. :-X

Just got to know how to get around the fucking rules. Some thing s go through, and some don't. I don't think they are posted anywhere, I've never seen them, just gotta be observant.

Swearing doesn't offend me. Not in the least, I do my fair share of it.

I do my cussin and swearin in the driveway where no body (I hope) can hear me. Shure helps with working on the car. Gotta be a male thing. Don't know if my Amish neighbors think it helps. Website, no, not the place for it. Kind of like walking down 5th ave. swearing. folks look at you funny. JMHO.

This site has always had language filters, it's nothing new unless DJ has added some words somehow lately to be filtered.

Let freedom ring? Methinks people forget that this website is not *free* or democratic. It is here by the grace of DJ. Don't misunderstand me, I can and do turn the air blue. However, where I might turn the air blue while working on a project at home, I would not do the same while I was at work or in a group of people who would be offended by what I say. Courtesy rules, always (and yes, I can be discourteous, so don't #*@& with me ;;D).

I can honestly say that the only word(s) that I have seen censored is not a very nice person (see) a$$hole, there, that's better.

The YaBB message board program comes with word censors in place. DeeJ simply left them (except for FUCK because FUCK is one of DJ's favorite words).
