Title: immigrant band Post by cootie on May 6th, 2006, 2:44am Went to a new local hot spot tongiht for dinner.....new owners...it's now a mexican resturant but all three owners ride bikes so that can't be bad......nice people too and goin to do good things to the bar they bought. Anyhow.....turns out they had a real live mexican band tonight. Good stuff......but the wierd thing is how they acted so NEW to the country ? They were Puerto Rican and mexican and the one younger bongo player didn't seem to know much in english and jus kept smilein. The guitar player was awesome but would talk inbetween a few songs about stuff and we could barely understand a word. Then he'd say stuff like''''time to take a break or what do you call it in dees country....me go away for bit then back'......huh.........yeah rite......ya been here playin gigs all over and yer still acting like ya are fresh across the boarder. He kept askin where people where from......he'd say ME mexico and band menbers from Peurto Ricao type stuff. Few people yelled they were from Americal or one said cherokee Indian and I refraim'd from yelling HILLBILLY. (jus jokein but wonder'd what they'd say if I yelled that) But........... Is this a GOOD time to ACT so dam'd innoscent and so damm'd IMMIGRANT Pam Got a chinese resturant in the new outlet mall that has been there at least 5 or 6 years and the people that run it can hardly even understand the words 'diet coke please' even after all that time......there half RUDE most of the time.......WTF ?? |
