Title: Anyone care to comment? Post by Jonny on May 5th, 2006, 10:13pm on who TF we are electing? Rehab in December, rehab during the congress break (weeks ago), car accident three weeks ago and........ claiming he did not know he woke up, got dressed and did this. http://www.cbc.ca/cp/world/060505/w050536.html This puke was caught on tape saying "I have never worked a day in my fucking life" to young democrats. (12-16 year olds) This is in no way a political post, I just want to know if you were pulled over shit faced, would the cops skip the DUI test and give you a ride home? Like father, like son!! Edit to add....Daddys link http://www.fatboy.cc/ |

Title: Re: Anyone care to comment? Post by Lizzie2 on May 5th, 2006, 10:43pm That article states that he took phenergan and ambien. I took phenergan last night...12.5 mg and the usual prescribed dose is 25mg. I was trying to read things online, and all the words were blurring together and I could not keep my eyes open. Eventually, I gave up and went to sleep. I did NOT go drive my car. I did NOT take my prescription sleep aid because I knew the phenergan was going to knock me the heck out. He's blaming it on pills - that's a total joke. If you take the pills that say, "Do not operate a car without knowing how you react to this medication," then it's STILL your fault if you went out and drove. It pisses me off when people drive when they shouldn't - whether that is from alcohol, drugs, exhaustion, medications, seizure disorders (yes...I know of someone who continues to drive with a seizure disorder and has gotten into a number of accidents), and other reasons. If you don't care about your own life....at LEAST show a little concern about possibly killing someone else. >:( |

Title: Re: Anyone care to comment? Post by tanner on May 5th, 2006, 10:52pm OK jonny , you pulled me out of my shell for this one. Everyone makes mistakes! He admitted to his problem and that ought to be good enough to give the poor boy a break! I mean just because his father got away with murder under similar "I can't remember" type times and the fact that his family has gotten more positive press for being the descendents of one of the most despicable pro Nazi pro organized crime a holes to ever hit the planet. they are after all attractive i guess. Should we jump to conclusions about this particular bad seed? hell yes!!! wake up northeast or we are going to have two left coasts!.............................tim |

Title: Re: Anyone care to comment? Post by Karla on May 5th, 2006, 11:14pm Well I can say this as far as special treatment because no test was given and he was taken home that my son when 19 and on probation was pulled over with a DUI. It wasn't over the legal limit but because he was underage your not suppose to drink so he was in a way over the limit. The cop was going to park his car and drive him home aprox 20miles down the road. (I know this because the cop called us and told us that was his plan)(Then he called us back and gave us the new plan where he was taken in) However nice that would have been the cop saw he was on probation and decided to then give him a test and take him in. So I think it is ok for what the cop did. I also understand what your saying about having a friend with a seizure disorder continue to drive with her baby in the car despite several accidents and loosing her liscence. Dumb!!! |

Title: Re: Anyone care to comment? Post by JenniferD on May 5th, 2006, 11:29pm See? this is the kind of bullshit I am so freakin sick of! People who try to do the right thing, always trying to put other people first and help other people out get screwed, and azzholes like this get away with everyfreakinthing!!! Maybe I should just start dicking everyone and doing whatever the hell I want to then good things will start happening. Cuz unless you have money or screw everyone over, you get fugged. F**k the Kennedys. They make me want to puke. |

Title: Re: Anyone care to comment? Post by cootie on May 6th, 2006, 2:19am Soon as I heard that story and the guy was takein sumthin for sleep I thought of AMBIEN. I take it and have been for several years straight. But.....I think that stuff is one of the culprits to alot of nasty accidents where people jus went driveing and drove rite into sumthin. The stuff works if ya take it and 'go lay down' !!! You will DO whatever you were thinking about if ya stay up and MOBILE after takeing it. So I'd say going 'sleep shoppin' at 2:45 am was pushin it ? Families that fuck up together stay fucked up together Pam |

Title: Re: Anyone care to comment? Post by Charlie on May 6th, 2006, 12:46pm Bill Maher says that if you say that it's pills...things Pfizer, Merck and Glaxo-Welcome make money on, you get a pass. Booze...different story. Another reason he slipped through the net is that the Capitol Police got in the way. http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/slap.gif The kid is a jerk. Rush Limbaugh is one. In some ways it's a similar circumstance. Nothing new. http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/sissy fight.gif On the Kennedys: (My family never voted for Democrats but my staunch Republican father thought JFK was all right. Everybody did) Joe, the old prick, had kids that were different to my generation. The country has some kind of blind spot when it comes to them. Unless you lived through Camelot, it's impossible to comprehend but JFK was FUN. The only comparison is that we treat them as a royal family. You had to be there. Find a tape of a Kennedy news conference. It's great entertainment. He loved it. They tapped into the post war kids ideas that not every tiny domestic glitch need turn the country upside down. Civil rights did that. For him, the small stuff was fair game. He was not a liberal. His libertarian slant failed him once or twice though. Perhaps our parents liked having sons of the bootleggers in charge. People liked even Scotch during the 20s. Right or wrong, the rest of them are still given incredible breaks because of JFK. The Democrats have been trying for 40 years to find another. Clinton had potential but lacked class. JFK went for movie stars and Marilyn Monroe. How times have changed. http://www.kolobok.wrg.ru/smiles/madhouse/to_pick_ones_nose.gif?SSImageQuality=Full I'm really getting old yakking about the good old days but if you're lucky, you will too someday. What you mean "we" Yankee-boy? ;) Obviously, he is messed up. He broke the law and put others at risk. He should be fined, lose his license, and do rehab, just like the average person would be treated. But there are thousands of cases of DUI every day, millions of people messed up on booze and/or pills. He's sad, but the reason he got special treatment is the same reason that the press and the Republican echo machine is talking about it - politics. What is really interesting is the Fornigate scandal, which almost nobody is talking about: Prostitutes providing sexual favors to Congressmen and other top government officials in return for legislative favors for their employers. Top Bush appointed CIA officials identified as attendees at the poker/prostitute parties. The head of the CIA suddenly resigns. Ever wonder WTF one of the companies that has a contract with Homeland Security to provide limo service to top Washington politicans is headed by a man whose criminal rap-sheet is over 60 pages long? The United States is giving contracts and inner access to a man who has a long history of theft, larcency, and extortion?? This one is far more important than a drunk Kennedy or Monica Lewinsky. The K street lobbyists have found how to rub the magic lamp and call up the genie. Too bad the public is getting screwed, but can't enjoy it like the johns who are prostituting their government posititions. And still no word on why gay prostitute and 'escort service' operator Jeff Gannon made over 200 visits to the Whitehouse. |

Title: Re: Anyone care to comment? Post by zwibbs/Scott on May 7th, 2006, 9:11am Massachsetts has a track record for electing Kennedys as well as Kerry and Dukakis. A very good friend of mine ( Navy Seal ) and at one time a huge Kennedy supporter was asked to help get the girl ( Mary Jo Kopekne) out of the car in Chappaquidik ( spelling ? ) I will put it this way ---he went into the water a Kennedy man -----came out a Kennedy hater, as he felt this young woman had HOURS to be saved......As for his son I think he should stop hiding behind the wall of protection , and be a man---something his father isn't. And the voters in Rhode Island should ride his ass out of office. JFK Jr. was a real nice young man, and I will always be sorry for his horrible exit from this life , but Teddy will continue to be re-elected by the people in Mass. and I just don't understand why ? |

Title: Re: Anyone care to comment? Post by maffumatt on May 7th, 2006, 3:32pm it sounds like a personal problem to me, I have enough of my own without judging others. Only thing I didn't like was the special treatment he got from the capitol police. After this publicity I don't think they will be doing that again anytime soon. |
