My old bass player Doc from Act of God has a band going called HAIRZILLA! and they just fired their lead guitarist and so he has been begging me to do the gig. It is mostly 80's metal with some new stuff lik Audioslave, Alice in Chains, etc. He has been 'courting' me for a week now to do thi gig. Since I haven't been able to get my other covers band off the ground, I finally said yes to him yesterday. They have a few upcoming gigs, and he stopped booking until he found a new guitarist, but they do gigs most weekends. There's a big one next month in Salem, MO called "Ozark Bikefest II" which should be a killer gig.

There's one catch...

I'll have to wear a wig!!!

Not sure who in the photo I am replacing, but Doc is in the blonde wig. He's a good bro and I've worked with him at length before in both our original band and the covers band. However, me donning a wig, makeup and having to play POISON again is what I call 'guitar prostitution'.

My first gig with them is next friday in Desoto, MO. I only have about 40 songs to learn by then. No sweat. I know some of the songs by heart already so it should be a no brainer. I once had to learn about 30 something songs within 48 hours for my first gig with Blaze back in the day and actually had them down by show time.

I will be using my wrestling given name, Mack Danger, as my stage name, and it fits for an 80's hair metal band.

Please tell me that in the video "Aint nothing but a good time" the guitar player with the green axe didnt stick his false teeth out....please tell me that....LOL ;;D

Looks like all of the gigs are around St. Louis. Is this correct? I may find myself in MO. in the coming weeks, but I think they're sending me to North Kansas City.
