I hope it goes away soon. yesterday I had a migraine that started at 11am and by 6pm I was going nuts because the imitrex had failed me twice. I went to urgent care and got a shot. At least it went away I felt much better today. I think it is these crazy weather patterns. I was looking at a website don't remember where and It had posted the top 100 cities in order of number of people with migraines per population. Madison WI was #2 Milwaukee was like 87 and Kenosha/Chicago was like 178. Go figure. I am moving out of here! |

Post by LeLimey on May 4th, 2006, 3:41am Ree if it's the imitrex tablets you are using you might want to think about frovatriptan instead.. it is much kinder than imi, doesn't have the same side effects (its a much newer triptan) and the best part is it has a half life of up to 26 hours which would be ideal for you given that you work with kids. If you take it with a fizzy drink or a hot one it gets to work even quicker too. Does Dave have o2 at home? You should try that for your migraines too, its magic! I made "my" David try O2 when he was here and suffering and it really helped him (he is a migrainer too) Think about different triptans, there is zomig too which is also longer lasting than imi.. there will be better options for you! Just remember he golden rule about not mixing triptans within 24 hours of each other ((HUGS)) Helen |
