Linda Howell called me last week-end and our conversation reminded me of a Prayer that I use to carry in my purse and I would like to share it with you..

A PRAYER FOR BAD TIMES....

Dear God: help me to be a good sport in the game of life. Lord I don't ask for and easy place in lifes line-up, put me anywhere you need me. I only ask that I can give you 100% of everything that I have. If all the hard drives seem to come my way; "I THANK YOU FOR THE COMPLIMENT". I know that if you give it to me Heavenly Father, you will give me the strength to carry the weight.

Help me to remember that you NEVER send a player more pain and trouble than they can handle; and help me O'God to accept all my bad breaks, pain and dissapointment as part of the game.

I know in my heart Heavenly Father, that what ever trials and tribulations I may face, you will see me through them. I know that you will never leave me alone, that what ever I face, we will face together.

May I always play on the square, no matter what others may do. Help me to study the Book so I'll know the rules. Finally Dear God, if the natural turn of events goes against me, and I'm benched with sickness, help me to accept that
as part of the game, too. Keep me from whimpering that I got a raw deal and when I finish the final inning, I ask no laurals. All I want to believe in my heart Dear God, is that I played as well as I could and I didn't let you down.

AMEN...
