I just have the mumps.

I'm going to seriously consider driving back home and infecting my mother, this was all her fault! She should have let us be exposed as kids, but of course SHE has never had the mumps, so we never got them either.

In fact she was so afraid of it that she didn't get the optional (in Ontario) vaccine because it was a live vaccine. Hell double dose MMR wasn't mandatory in Ontario until around 1996.

No vibes or anything needed here....send them to my Mom, she's gonna need em when I'm done with her!!!

(I'm a 'probable' case....my doc says she can't know for certain without seeing me and she doesn't wanna see me...oy)

I've seen in the news that mumps were making a come back. Sorry they came back to you. Hope you have a short mump.

Feeling sorry for you. It's always a little worse for adults than kids with these sicknesses.

Wishing you a speedy recovery and prayers for YOU when your MOM finds out. (Prayers for her too, of course).

So does this mean your daughter has the mumps also? You mentioned she thought she had them like a week ago or so. I hope your house isn't hit with a double wammy. Id be mad at my mom also. In fact I am mad at my mom also. I asked her if I had a mmr shot and she said she didn't know. I hated getting shots as a kid and was so difficult to vacinate that she said she might not have but because she was suppose to she thought she might have. So I have no clue. Prayers going up for your house.
