Title: Need good luck vibes Post by JenniferD on Apr 27th, 2006, 1:23pm I was really hoping it wouldn't get to this point. Tomorrow morning at 8:30 am is the school board disciplinary committee meeting to determine whether my son will be expelled, sent to night school-alternative school, and/or whether criminal trespass charges will be pursued. I'm a frazzled wreck. If this doesn't go well, it could potentially cause serious financial problems, job-related issues, and major adjustments in our family life. I really could use some peace vibes. |

good luck. as a diversion --- Redd's picture reminds me of a swim experience I had at Mosquito Bay in Vieques. It's called bioluminescence and you put your hands through the water and its like a glow stick. really cool. scott |

Title: Re: Need good luck vibes Post by JenniferD on Apr 27th, 2006, 7:29pm Thanks all. I really appreciate it. I need to type up his apology statement (to say if given the opportunity) and iron his pants. I can't eat dinner, my stomach is tied in knots. I think I'll have a couple of beers and try to just chill a while. I am sorry to all of you for my less than "upbeat" posts lately. I'm kinda really struggling thru too much shit. Still dealing with the whole Steve situation- there is much that I cannot say publicly about that, but my heart feels like it just breaks for my brother in law and my sister. I want to just scream catch that m'fin' bastard and fry his ass!!! but the most I can do is be still and hold a hand or listen when new stuff comes up. Then there is the whole jobless-and-unemployment-is-gonna-run-out-soon thing and I am feeling very very afraid and insecure and definitely worthless in the job market. Wow, did I just ever dump a bunch on y'all. Sorry for that too. Its just too much. And now facing tomorrow and the potential consequences. Just sux. I'll catch up with y'all tomorrow after the ax has fallen. Love to all. J |

Title: Re: Need good luck vibes Post by Grandma_Sweet_Boy on Apr 27th, 2006, 8:01pm Jen - don't worry about dumping your problems - sometimes that's what helps you the most is to just get it out. You have dealt with a lot of crap lately so it's not too surprising that you're not your usual cheerful self. Your son may learn a valuable lesson from all this but it's really tough for those bright kids to just "settle" for what the average student is doing. They're so lost in the shuffle sometimes. Give him a hug and remember 100 years from now it won't matter a fiddler's damn! Hugs Carol |
