Time to properly prepare yourself to speak in the native dialect of Wisconsinites!

Here is a helpful link to help you pronounce words such as: Cheqamegon, Cieslewica, Oconomowoc, Ashwaubenon and Lake Butte des Morts….

Ok Ok! me and Mel will be translators at the convention.

Actually the convention will be in Waukesha, Wi.

Waukesha is a native American word meaning: "Where is my beer?" ;;D

Actually Jimmers, I had to ask hubby how to pronounce Cheqamegon. :-[ LOL!

Jimmers, I thought it meant :

"Enough with the cheese jokes already. You like cheese don't you? Who the hell doesn't like cheese? IF YOU LIKE CHEESE WHAT IS SO FUNNY ABOUT CHEESE?!?! HOW ABOUT YOU LOSE YOUR CHEESE PRIVLIDGES FOR LIFE? HOW FUNNY IS CHEESE NOW? HUH?HUH?HUH? I thought so".

They could add "Favre" to the list , but he is a transplant.

Yeah I was born and raised here and there are some places I still cannot say properly. I'd rip on those people but I live in a place named after a frickin fish.

To make it worse people pronouce the not so hard looking ones wrong. Take New Berlin for example (which was going to be the capitol of North America if Hitler would have won). We say it "Berlin" (rhymes with "Merlin", not "Burr - lyn" like the German city.

Could be worse, could be in MN or the UP "der hey".....
