Hi I have been getting up the courage to join this site but some of the things I have been reading in the last month don't seem right. There are people that start fights with others and I noticed that one of the members is not here anymore. The member is I think dogburt and it seems that he took alot of trouble from people. I'll keep reading and maybe I can get some help.

I've been here a long time.  Flames are minimal, support is tremendous.

I thought you are chewy are you joking or serious. How can I get some help with the pain? My doctor told me I may have cluster headaches.

Sorry to subject you to a few that like to cause problems. A troll is someone who likes to start fights, and basically make life harder than it already is.

We understand your pain. The monster in our heads is caused by a problem with the hypothalamus (part of the brain). We often joke about being brain damaged.

There are a number of things that can be done to help reduce the hits of CH. There is no cure. You will have this for the rest of your life. BUT, there are things that can help.  Oxygen, Imitrex injections, nasal sprays like Zomig, large quantities of water, herbs like Kudzu, and more.
What have you done for your hits? How long have you had them? Has a doctor  or neuro officially diagnosed you as a Cluster Headache sufferer?

We can help, but you also have to help us help you, and you have to learn to help  yourself by learning all you can.

This site if very helpful for those who wish to get help.  There will always be personality conflicts but overall, people with CH get help here, period.

If you want help, ignore the crap and get it.  The 3 boards you see at the top are the best for getting help.  Very little  (if any) problems, just people helping one another.

Asian Pain...if you truly had CH, then your skin would be incredibly thick and pain tolerence would be that of a horse and any "fights" you have read here shouldn't phase you, I laugh them off....

this is MY family...so don't shit on them because of a few stupid people...you won't find THIS kind of support ANYWHERE else, and IF you do have CH, simply reading posts wouldn't "scare" you from becoming a member....either jump in with us or get off the boat.... ::)

Ya got fights and hassles everywhere ya go so just ignore what ya don't like and get the help ya need and give the support you have to offer. I heard trolls are out on the third week of every month.......sumone told me that yesturday cuz I question'd all the TROLL lookin people I seen at Walmart in one day. My doctor told me to take advil two pills each 6 hours. I saw that someone takes Oxygen for this. where do I go to get it.

1.  It looks like your doctor doesn't think you have CH or I doubt he'd suggest advil.

2.  Oxygen can be obtained at any medical supply place (OK, most).  Same place you would go to get crutches and other medical stuff.

3.  Read the O2 link on the left.  Make sure you get the right mask.  You will need a script for it, so call your doctor.  HOWEVER, if you haven't been diagnosed with O2, he may not be able to get the O2 covered by your insurance.

4.  take the cluster quiz on the left and see if you fit into the criteria.  If you do, find a headache specialist or nuero and call your doctor for a refferal.  You will want an expert for diagnostic purposes.  Plus, they can get you samples of triptans that help abort attacks.

Championing Burt on his first post? Someone who wasn't all that prolific when you count how many threads were deleted? And lets face it, how many hundreds of people read ths site every day and never post? I went to meet one such lady on Monday who contacted me via email from here, has never registered here, but needed help.

There are different sorts of people who come to this site, those who read, register, post and join the community.

Those who read, register, post a few times and drift away because they are out of cycle or whatever.

Those who read but don't join because online support groups aren't their thing.. they just want info.


And those who join purely to cause trouble, whose lives are so pathetic, empty and tawdry that they think causing dissent and being aggravating is amusing.

Three out of four categories are worth helping the final one is beneath contempt and should be left to fester in the ordure of their own making.

i read things here for 1 month before coming to this. my wife typed few message. i am an asian american and don't write so good. i don't understand the things about trolls and bait and other stuff that looks like kidding or being mean to people like some guys who i don't see anymore. they got scared or angry. i think you are doing that to me too. i don't like this stuff. i see some people doing it a lot. please don't say things to me like you do. iminhetube and chew and other people stop.

i see about the oxygen but i haven't been helpful in getting it. our doctor told me to go to chiropractor has anybody done this.

Do you have CH?  If so, Oxygen is a no-brainer script from your doctor.  If he really wants you to go to a chiropractor for CH, GO TO ANOTHER DR.

If you really are an Asian American and you don't write/speak very well, maybe that explains why you didn't understand the problems Burt caused here.  Take my advise, drop this subject and take the help you are offered.

Now, while i have little doubt you are actually Burt returning, I will continue to treat you like the person you are posing to be in case I am wrong because if you have CH and you are telling the truth, you NEED bigtime help.  Send me a private message and I'll be happy to try and help you with your situation.

Asianpain - if you are truly a seeker of relief from cluster headaches, don't post to the "general posts" board,  Post your questions on the parts of the board specifically related to cluster headaches - or send a private message to someone who has responded positively to this thread.

This is a truly great family of people who support one another.  Over time, we've come to laugh at what some people and cultures might think of as different.  What some people think of as cruel, we thing of as things that help us keep our sanity intact.

You might be a troll (as described above).  You might not be a troll.  Nobody here will know unless you send a message out asking for specific help.
