Remember my friend John who got stopped at the airport because his name was John Samuel Adams and he was on the terrorist list?

Well, East Texas has another terrorist to add to that list. We've got a guy who was born in this country of Chinese origin (his dad was a naturalized citizen). He's been in the family business (a restaurant) since he was a kid (I've known him most of his life - his dad was bringing him to work when he was in grade school). He's known all over the area as a guy who'd give you the shirt off his back. He was the one who gave Neal McCoy his start (Neal has mentioned him on National TV several times). A nicer guy you'd never meet. But, he's a guy and boys will be boys. Seems he was offered a "machine gun" and decided he'd never had a machine gun so what the heck..... he bought the darn thing... from a federal agent!

Now David is looking at time in Federal prision as a terrorist! A slap on the wrist or a fine I can see, but David a terrorist??? And it's a done deal - he's going to do some federal time. And probably lose everything he's got. The whole area is in an uproar about it. Everyone that knows David knows better than this.

So I guess this is a warning guys -- watch out who you buy your guns from.... you never know.

If I can't use it for hunting, or too complicated for home protection when I am half asleep. I dont want it.
I am all for having lots of firearms, but no real understanding of why someone needs a machinegun...

Being in Texas/being a Texan is reason enough to buy any kind of gun.

Knowing David, he probabaly doesn't even know how to shoot a gun, but just wanted one to show off to say, "Look what I've got!" That's just East Texas thinking.....

Hell, my son had a Oozie (or however you spell it). I don't even know what they are, but know they're illegal. But he was proud of it - Oh boy, I got something no one else in the neighborhood has!!!!! :) He never shot it, but he HAD it to show off....

Like I said - boys will be boys....

Only 8 states have laws against owning machine guns and Texas is not one of them. So.....he's not in trouble for *ownership*, BUT Federal law states what has to be done in order to buy machine guns.
