If so, what do I prep it with?

Before going on with close-ups requiring lipstick as porn star Nick Chopper, prepping with a good oiling up at the bath house is recommended.

No need to paint if you buy the pre-painted aluminum.  Prepping only involves consuming the contents.

An anodized surface is one of the best surfaces to paint, the anodizing process actually opens the pores in the aluminum and paint will adhere like a mutha. Theres no need for special paint, just clean the surface real good and paint away ;;D

I called the place that has been doing my anodizing for 15 years and thats what the dude I know there told me.
