Title: This is truly baby poop! Post by Kris_in_SJ on Apr 18th, 2006, 7:51pm After so many cycles of clusters, you'd certainly think I could deal with the discomfort of tension/sinus headaches? Well ... wouldn't you?! Things I love are blooming. My job stress level is high. And I just have this damned low-grade headache behind my eyes that won't go away. Aspirin, Ibuprofin, Exedrin - nothing is working. What a PIA I am for complaining about such a minor thing when you consider what we all go through at any given time of the year. Don't pay any attention to this thread cos' it's stupid! Still, I sure wish this would go away. At least I could count on the Beast to visit at certain times. LOL. Kris |

Title: Re: This is truly baby poop! Post by JenniferD on Apr 19th, 2006, 7:27am Hi Kris, sorry you're hurtin. I get the same thing this time of year, usually from sinus (allergies). The Walmart brand sinus medicine is what I swear by. Works in like 15 minutes for that behind-the-eyes pressure. (I'm really not kidding-that stuff kicks a**!!) Jen |

Title: Re: This is truly baby poop! Post by AussieBrian on Apr 19th, 2006, 8:05am Know exactly what you mean, mate. I live in a very remote place where mosquito-borne diseases are rife and just recently I came down with a dreaded lurgy. Nausea, dizziness, sweating while freezing, hands shaking, so off to the vet goes I. Temperature taken, blood bottled, poked and prodded, the whole box and dice, so of course he asks me about headaches and I say 'none that count'. Half a minute of questioning and he laughs his bloody head off realizing that a simple malarial headache doesn't even rate a mention on the scale we CHeads use. It was a levelling experience for both of us. |

Title: Re: This is truly baby poop! Post by BarbaraD on Apr 19th, 2006, 8:55am This sounds weird, because with CH I can't stand anything the least bit "warm" but for sinus I use STEAM. Helps everytime. Ice for CH -- Heat for sinus.... Go figure... Hugs BD |

Title: Re: This is truly baby poop! Post by FramCire on Apr 19th, 2006, 1:15pm I hope you are feeling better. I just changed a 10+ wipe "poopie". No fun either. |

Title: Re: This is truly baby poop! Post by Kris_in_SJ on Apr 19th, 2006, 7:55pm Thanks All! Still a very low-grade thing today. I'm pretty sure it's sinus. My darling hubby had a pretty bad auto accident a week or so ago, and the steering column hit him hard in the leg. Because his leg still looks like a sausage on steroids, I'm doing all the things he would normally do (like mow, spread fertilizer/crabgrass control, weed wack, etc.) in addition to all the things I usually do outside. Oh ... did I mention all the indoor work also? Not to mention my job?! Holy Crap - I'm ranting again!! Anyway, thanks for letting me know I'm not a total wimp, just a partial one. Hugs, Kris |

Title: Re: This is truly baby poop! Post by Drk^Angel on Apr 19th, 2006, 8:11pm Aw Hell... Ya not a wimp... Pain is pain. A sinus headache isn't a CH, but it's still and annoyin' pile of crap. If a warm compress doesn't work on your sinuses, you could try alternating warm and cold. My mom got a bad sinus blockage once, and when nothing else worked, she tried this, and after a bit it cleared her right up. DA |

Title: Re: This is truly baby poop! Post by rickyshot on Apr 20th, 2006, 8:42am Pain is Pain and I know first hand how painful sinus can be especially a true sinus infection. If you have an infection antibiotics usually do the trick nicely along with Tylenol. Otherwise try the various sinus meds if there is no infection. But check with your doc first. Over the counter sinus meds are notorious for some crazy side effects and do not mix well with a lot of other meds people take. Over the counter meds are not benign. |

Title: Re: This is truly baby poop! Post by Charlie on Apr 20th, 2006, 10:39am A wimp you are not. Sinus can hurt like hell too. I've had a couple bouts with it. Took far too many aspirin. It gets better. http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/pat.gif I sure hope this isn't shadows. Charlie |

Title: Re: This is truly baby poop! Post by burnt-toast on Apr 20th, 2006, 11:37am My daughter is allergic to just about everything pollen. Spring/fall she goes through quite a bit of difficulty breathing. Two trips to the ER already this spring to get her breathing under control. Not as insane as CH but certainly something that makes life miserable at times. Add in CH and I think I can understand how miserable things must get and the bitching about it. Best wishes, Tom |
