I have heard many descriptions of the pain in the eye durning a hit.
The most common is an ice pick. To me an ice pick is just to small, thin and sharp. (for my shoulder, that is different, and Does feel like an ice pick... dislocated twice)

For me, the best description is a rail road spike thru the eye.

A white-hot, acid coated, electrified butterknife slowly twisting in my temple, while shards of glass and rusty razor blades are inserted carelessly into my eye socket.

A rusty, salt encrusted fish hook hooked into the eye, slowly pulling it out to make room to insert the white-hot railroad spike being hammered forcably through the eye socket.

Constantine wire (razor wire) inserted through the left temple, wrapped around the optic nerve and out thorough the left ear then pulled back and forth briskly.

Oh wow Brad makes cool knoves out those.....heats and twists the metal and pounds out a blade and then does fancy scrolling on the blade's outer edge all by hand. Guess in a way you could say he is 'gettin even' with that railroad spike pain in the face Pam

You guys put me to shame. I only feel like a nail through the eye. Sometimes burns, sometimes doesn't.

it's the base of the trigiminal nerve, and then up and over and then down into the eye.

Actually it is a matter of perspective. We all feel pain differently, and deal with it differntly. Doesnt mean that one is worse than another, only different.

In any case, for me it feels like a red hot drill bit that reams the hole bigger right below my eye, with some little gremlin pulling on all the nerves and vessels connected to the back of my eye as if he is trying to pull it out the back of my head. That's my take. The burning is intense, like getting burned.

Depending on the pain level to me it is like having somewhere between Leon Spinks to Mike Tyson beat on my the back of my left eye, the inside of my ear, upper roots of my molars, well the whole left side of my head for what seems like forever till it goes away or till the meds take them away. Its hot sweaty constantly painful, I am constantly moving trying to get away, but nothing lets me get away.

Rusty razor wire, wrapped around my head two, maybe three, times and slowly pulled tighter and tigher while white-hot, foot long nails are driven into my temple, and a broken drillbit used to drill out my eye socket before having it packed with gun powder and acid, then set ablaze for a couple of hours before putting everything back into place so that the beast can do it all over again later.

Mine is a lot like a feather tickling the back of my eye gently.

Did I mention the feather was still attached to a live woodpecker who thinks the back of my eye is a tree? (now, the woodpecked pain might be different because the pain wouldn't be constant like the Ch hit, but you get the point)

Mine is 2 large size white hot knitting needles, one up the left nostril, one through the left ear canal, and they meet and play swordfight through my eyeball, while at least one wood splitting wedge if not more gets jammed up between the teeth, and the ice pick jabs the left temple.

Oh the fun of it all..... >:(
