Wanted:

Computer Dialer from comp to phone line

Must be able to:

(1) Call multiple #'s
(2) Conceal identity by providing flase info to called #'s caller ID
(3) Automatically repeat dial #'s

Anyone ?

War Dialer ? I'm not sure what that is. Never heard of it. Will it do the things I need ? Can you point me in the right direction?

Michael - are you getting into the business of spam faxes?

I now have to turn off my fax machine in my home office from bedtime to morning. The one drawback of working from home is that most of these annoying sell tactics come in the middle of the night The fax still rings, waking me up.

I know we all have to make a living ... but tell me it isn't so!

There is a thing called Demon Dialer. THis is used by hackers to try to find online computers with open ports, so that they can attempt to worm in and steal information.

There are 2 uses I can think of that are legit... massive phone calling, (I am on the "do not call list" thankyou)

Or a practical joke.

I hope this is for a practical joke.

I saw one the other day, it's probably what you want, plug in head phones & mic to get cheep phone calls.
