Title: Re: Goodbye Arthur Post by BikerBob on Apr 14th, 2006, 8:27pm R.I.P. Arthur Here's another 100 year old dude who's still alive and kickin'... Dr. Albert Hofmann (born January 11, 1906) is a prominent Swiss scientist and best known as the "father" of LSD, which he first synthesized in 1938 while working in the pharmaceutical-chemical department of Sandoz Laboratories in Basel Switzerland. He has been using LSD on-and-off ever since. At his 100th birthday bash in Basel Switz a few months ago, he said he hasn't used LSD in 3 years (he was 97 years old at the time). When asked about the secret to his longevity, he said "two eggs every morning with my meusli". BB ;;D |

Title: Re: Goodbye Arthur Post by LeLimey on Apr 15th, 2006, 3:34am David's great grandad is 101 and still going strong. He goes to the pub a couple of times a week, still has an eye (and a hand!) for a pretty girl and love's a good meal. He is hilarious, still has all his faculties and looks 30 years younger than he is.. he's doing better than most of us! Oh and he has been retired for 36 years! Bet the pensions people just love him don't you? [smiley=laugh.gif] |
