Title: Pray for my Cat Please! Post by LadyElaine on Apr 13th, 2006, 4:57pm My cat has a big growth on her neck. It just got big in a matter of days. I took her to the vet. They will remove it But the cost is somewhere between a hundren and five hundred to fix her. They said they would let me pay every two weeks, but it will have to be paid in full in 60 days. They can't tell me the price untill they get in and see how bad it is. Pray the cat makes it and we can pay the bill on time. I hate it when my babies are sick :'( |

Title: Re: Pray for my Cat Please! Post by Cathi04 on Apr 13th, 2006, 8:06pm Ok. got the dog guys out of the way.now, from a catlover's point of view. Aww, E.........I hate it when my cats are ill! We went from 5 to 4 cats last Christmas, and I still miss my lil Chrissie :-/. Phantom, Buddy, Pepper and Camry are all lil whippersnappers, doing fine, and I like it that way.Chrissie was 18, and her time had come, sadly. As for your lil one, I hope it's simply a cyst, easy to remove, and your cat bounces back quickly. Please keep us posted! Vibes on their way, Cathi :-* |

Title: Re: Pray for my Cat Please! Post by cootie on Apr 13th, 2006, 9:58pm How old is the kitty ? Since it grew so fast hopefully it's not deep and won't cost as much and easy to remove......did they say they were doin a biopsy or did that do that already ? Kitty prays for sure goin out to ya.......I lost an older cat also around the holidays.....was really sad. Amazes me how much vets charge......probly be less if a person had a big lump removed. Hope he's ok !! Kitty city Pam I bought my house cats two mice for Easter......had a big 20 gallon aquarium in the way settin around so got them the mice and they just LOVE it......cat tv !!!! Can't get to the mice or hurt them but the just love swattin at them and sittin there watching hours on end. Cute as hell. http://bestsmileys.com/cats1/10.gif |

Title: Re: Pray for my Cat Please! Post by Paul98 on Apr 14th, 2006, 8:45am Sorry to hear about your putty Ealine. Since it grew in days, not weeks or months it is unlikely it is a tumor. Abcesses are common in cats. and easily treated W/ antibiotics. Wishing the best for you and putty. -P. |

Title: Re: Pray for my Cat Please! Post by JJA on Apr 14th, 2006, 9:53am Wow! The same thing (large fast growing lump in his neck) is happening with my cat, Chopper, except in our case the vet said it is a very aggressive inoperable cancer. It grew in a matter of weeks though, not days. We can only let him enjoy the time he has left. Good luck. I hope your prognosis is better than ours. Title: Re: Pray for my Cat Please! Post by Charlie on Apr 14th, 2006, 11:52am Lots of vibes for your cat Elaine. I'm beginning to hate vets. Somewhere along the way they decided that could really clean up in this business. Their fees are criminal up here and what they charge for drugs can be just as bad. Next time pretend you have money. Don't tell him you want a pay schedule. That way, you don't have to scrimp and save to pay this creep. Bastards. Charlie |

We were there with Barly this last year, a growth on his back leg that just suddenly ballooned and he was so sick. :( Yes, vets cost a lot, but...they do good work. Barly's good as new now and just celebrated his 10th birthday. Your kitty is in good hands now and we're praying for a good outcome!! love ya, TS |

Title: Re: Pray for my Cat Please! Post by cootie on Apr 14th, 2006, 9:08pm NICE cat Tom.....I have 4 saimese and my Boogie boy looks like yours. (got a flame point, blue, lilac and lynx siamese) Mine are watchin there 'mouse tv' rite now........beautiful cat Jesse.......very nicely marked. I hope he hangs in there and stays healthy and maybe that dam tumor leaves as fast as it came. Cat lover Pam http://bestsmileys.com/cats2/1.gif Were both cats vaccinated regularly ? Just wondering if the injection site is the culprit. I gave up doing my house cats cuz of that.......shots can be very risky to cats but if they are let outside it is more of a risk you have to take. I am very protective of mine and they only go in the screen room and I carry them out there !!! |

Title: Re: Pray for my Cat Please! Post by Dragnlance on Apr 16th, 2006, 11:24am Elaine, How is your cat? |

Title: Re: Pray for my Cat Please! Post by LadyElaine on Apr 16th, 2006, 7:31pm We have not had her operated on yet. They want $150 up front. Then we have to have the bill payed in 60 days. Buddy has some extra money coming in the 15th of May. That is when we will take her. She doesn't seem to be in pain and she eats and plays. But it seems to just grow more everyday. The vet said it can wait that long. I hope she knows what she is talking about. Thanks for the prayers. She is a real cool cat. If I could spell her name I would tell it to ya. We named her after the drink that has the worm. Whats the name of that drink? |

Title: Re: Pray for my Cat Please! Post by JJA on Apr 16th, 2006, 7:36pm In my case, the cat was regularly vaccinated. He loved to be outside. He gets very grumpy indoors. We used to keep him in as much as possible to keep him safe. Now, he only comes in at night. He is having the best time of his life. Jesse |

Title: Re: Pray for my Cat Please! Post by Drk^Angel on Apr 16th, 2006, 7:40pm To correct my previous post... I know that true tequila does not have the worm... Mezcal con gusano has the worm, but I figured tequila was a more likely name to pick. PFDAN........................................... Drk^Angel |
