Figured it's time to come out with this, since some of you are making travel plans. :) There will be Clusterbusters convention this July, in Chicago. It will be held following the OUCH convention in Milwaukee, on July 15, 16 17th. The details are still being worked out, but it will be held here:

Room rates are still being negotiated. Speakers will include Dr Andrew Sewell and Dr John Halpern from Harvard McLean.

For those planning to attend the OUCH convention in Milwaukee... there will be a discount on the registration fee. I promise I will keep you posted on details as they become available. We could also use a little help. If you're interested, please PM me.

I suspect Dr Sewell will share stats on the case histories, and the progress of the study. Hallucinogenic treatments have been getting more media time, too. I'm sure there's more and I'm sure someone will come along and fill us in on the rest.

Please don't look at "those" rates. They will be significantly reduced. I expect to have numbers in a couple days and there will be a link to the conference rates for reservations.

So the cluster busters convention is "It will be held following the OUCH convention in Milwaukee, on July 15, 16 17th." But according to my records that is not following the OUCH convention it is in direct conflict with it. The ouch convention is July 13-16. Am I wrong in the fact that there is a conflict here?

I was just wondering if I could call my boss on Sunday afternoon from Chicago airport and tell him that they canceled my flight, so had to stay over another day. You know, play on his sympathies like "no hotel rooms - gonna sleep in the terminal - oh woe is me stuff". I'll have to give that some creative thought ;;D

Do we have hotel rates yet? I'm still fighting to find my flights to Milwaukee. If I get creative, I may be able to arrange a "layover" in Chicago on the night of the 16th. But gotta know rates.

How do I get there from the OUCH convention? Is there public transport available, can I take a bus?

Jas, BobW is trying to schedule the speakers as late as possible on Sunday. We'll either have a banquet, or a dinner outing on Sunday evening. My plan is to check out of the hotel in Milwaukee Sunday morning, have some breakfast and coffee with my OUCH friends, and then drive down to Chicago. We probably have room in the van for you...it seats 7 and so far, we have 6. Let me know, OK?
