Title: Pampered Chef
Post by Bethany1 on Apr 7th, 2006, 10:15pm
So I went to one of those parties tonight where they sell the cooking stuff totally overpriced, but really good quality. At these parties they cook certain foods (I was so darned excited because I had not eaten dinner). The host made this chicken thing wrapped in a croissant and most of the girls there were catholic and they couldnt eat meat, so I was psyched.. more for me! Then she made up this unbelievable dessert. So the end of the party comes and out comes the chicken thing... Totally burned to a crisp (not even edible). Then the dessert.. as she is taking it out of the freezer she smashes it into the side of the refrigerator and squished it.

Man, what a let down it was. At least I got a measuring spoon for my forty dollars. Ahhh.. but the memories.

Smashed and burnt at a party, yeah I've done that too.  It is damn expensive.

Chicken in Puff Pastry is not that hard to do, but if you use too high a heat or leave it in the oven too long it will burn. My son is a chef and he has taught me so much about cooking that I now cook the majority of the meals at home.
