Lil spooky Son of ghost has Sinus Ha's, Migranes, And CH!

Doc is a baffoon!!!!!!

He said O2 on works on less than 30% of CH sufferers and perscribed freakn high dose motrin, and sudafed!!!!!!!!!

No trex , said it is better to treat symptoms and the rest will take care of its self!

Un FREAKN BELIVABLE HUH !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Better stop now b4 i explode !!!!!

This was the neuro.
He is Freakn lucky I didnt go with him to the appt!
I would have shoved something in his eye but it probably would have been my arm!!!!!
He claims to have several ch sufferers under his care but if that is true I feel sorry for them. Bad part is wife is following his instructions because he is after a doc and knows what he is doing!
Im ok ill just sit down now and not follow the desire to drive to his office and throttle him.

I hope you'll start by educating your wife. Your son deserves to be treated properly & NOT with high doses of Sudafed and Motrin. >:(

BTW....Oxygen works for 70% of CH sufferers. Not 30%

My daughter was diagnosed with migraines at 10 yrs old...I know what you're going through, I see patterns in her that make me think CH...took her to a childrens' neuro he takes awesome care of her and reads all I bring him and LISTENS to me....stay on top of your doc, or switch to a children neuro maybe...Gosh, I'm sorry, I know how bad it sucks to watch your child suffer....hang tough... :'(

I'm so sorry to hear that... :'( It's horrible that the beast attacks so young people, too... :(

Well childrens neuro's are often the least educated in terms of CH of them all. Even if you are lucky enough to get a HA specialist neuro many of them still believe that women and children don't get CH.
You need a second and EXPERT opinion, not on the fact that lil spooky is a ch'er but for his treatment.
My own opinion is that any child presenting with CH should be tried on O2 as a first treatment and if that works, nothing else. It's the least invasive and potentially harmful to a young body as well as being highly effective.
I had the same experience with Jaspers first neuro who not only refused to refer Jasper to PG as he "had never heard of him" (A HA specialist?!!) but he then refused to treat Jasper anymore leaving him without any care whtsoever.
Thank God lil Spooky has you and all of us, his "other" family! Speak to Donna, see if she knows of a better paediatric doctor in your area.

One of my docs actually perscribed Motrin 1200 for me. (like that was going to work)

Rest assured that most of us have seen one or two of those in our lifetime.

Okay, but have you been keeping a journal???

It is the pattern over time,
the sudden onset...the sudden disappearance...
and the return....these are what it took to
connect the dots for you, and same for him.

Hopefully you find a competant doc,
willing to listen...
I think it is more genetical than statistics show,
only because they aren't really tracking any of us,
are they????

Remember, they hesitate to precribe it,
only because the HMO won't pay for it...
but you can override it and demand the RX
it's worth it if it works.

i am med free, and doc free...
and surviving...
mainly I do deep breathing exercises
for levels 5 thru 8...
after a level 8 i just pace and chant.
(I can't remember my name
or how to count, so i give up then.winks.)

A doctor of what? All Aruba education? The guy's an idiot. I've been to at least 7 neurologists and 5 of them are certifiable. It's a kind of nerd specialty to some, I guess.
