And I'm noticing that they don't have the kind like I get with the large nut, where it "screws" onto the tanks. Instead they have some sort of T thing I assume you have to turn to attach it? I've never seen that before, yet it says they fit M6 tanks? (is that the same as an M60?)

How do those attach?

Mell, I am not sure what a m6 or m60 tank is..Jonny might. Most medical tanks are either A; B; C; or D. Here is a link to a regulator on EBay that is for a small portable tank it can use a Bubbler (humidifier) and it goes to 15lpm.
The "T" handle is the tightener...

Mel, an "M" tank is what I usually get. My distributor calls it an M-60. Here is a link to a chart of tanks:

Look on page 2. I think the M tank holds 164 liters.

Edited to add: I think the regulators attach with the large nut, like you described. You will need an appropriate size "box-end" wrench to tighten the nut. Ask Mr. Happy. He's the pro regarding regulators. He may even have one for you.

Ok, an M-60 is also what I get, but what I want to know is how the regulators I am seeing on eBay, don't look anything like the one I used to have, and the one insurance rents for me now?

Here's a pic of a one of the ones I was talking about, which does go up to 15lpm...

Now how would that attach to an M-60? When I get one from the health supply place (Walgreens), we usually need a wrench to tighten the nut that screws onto the valve, and there's a black handle you need to twist on the top of the tank to open up the air flow. :-/

edited to add: Patti, I don't need one, I'm just wondering how the heck these new ones would attach. I'm not expecting my cycle for at least 11 months (finger crossed), but I'm thinking about purchasing one for myself in the between time, as the one I used to have I gave away.

OK Mell what you do is Back the "t" bolt out,, slide the end of the tank through the rectangle hole..there are two small pins that need to line up with two matching holes on the tank...tighten the "T" bolt back down till it is snug...then open the tank a little to see if it leaks...if so tighten the "T" a little more...I looked at the link above and from what I can tell the M60 and M6 tanks are the small portable ones that most med supply centers lend out. so the regulator you pictured will work....Or should work.

That is a E tank regulator, you need to get the type that fits your tank. Remember that most ebay sellers have no clue.

I have a shitload of regulators. Can you post of send me a pic. of your tank where the regulator attaches. Oblique angle photo best so I can see if the threads/seat is male or female. If I have one that will work I can send it to you.

Opus, thank you for the info. Now I know just what sort of tank those fit onto!

Paul98, that's really sweet of you, but I have to rent my tanks as well as the regulator when I'm in cycle. Someday I'll purchase my own, but I don't go into cycle often enough to regulate purchasing one.
