Title: To Jazz Post by BarbaraD on Mar 21st, 2006, 7:15pm The postman arrived today with the most wonderful package. Thank you so much. Caleb has been in hog heaven all afternoon. He's showed me all afternoon how giraffes drink water. Now he wants to eat out of the top of trees... WHAT HAVE YOU DONE???? Seriously, the gifts were wonderful and will be cherished by this Clusterbud for a long time to come. We have a special shelf for them. Hugs BD |

Title: Re: To Jazz Post by chewy on Mar 21st, 2006, 9:56pm Jazz is very possibly the coolest person I know. Absolutely no one in my circle has a bracelet that once hung off an elephants ass. I do though! Thanks Jazz. |

Title: Re: To Jazz Post by BarbaraD on Mar 22nd, 2006, 10:49am Thanks for the link Jonny -- and Caleb and I got a knife too -- wanna see who's is the biggest. Caleb stabbed three of my clients.... (not too seriously). It's on the top shelf now! this stuff is awesome. And Don, the elephant probably misses his bracelet... Hugs BD |

Title: Re: To Jazz Post by LeLimey on Mar 23rd, 2006, 10:39am I got a parcel today too.. it was like Christmas all over again it was so exciting! Jas the stuff you sent is gorgeous, Jasper has nabbed the tortoise and he is sat cuddling him while watching Scooby flippin' Doo right now. He has called him "Oliver" because he (the tortoise) looks like his friend Oliver. (Yes, he is an ugly child!) The carved box is beautiful and its sat on my desk beside me, its unbelievably heavy do you know what type of wood it is? In contrast the little cup and saucer are as light as a feather and it intrigues me to know these things! I especially love the little stick man carving because it's just so delicate but I don't know what it is for.. can you tell me please? Thank you so much, I lovethem for themselves and I love them even more because they came from you and I have a piece of you, here in my house, keeping me company now. I'm blessed to have such terrific friends. helen :-* |

Title: Re: To Jazz Post by Jasmyn on Mar 23rd, 2006, 1:17pm Most of the woods used are mahogany, ebony and ironwood, the light and softer wooden carvings are made from coco palm wood. The thin stick man is actually a pen, you just have to put an ink inner of a Bic pen in. Everything is all natural and local. Glad you liked it ;;D |

Title: Re: To Jazz Post by LeLimey on Mar 23rd, 2006, 1:28pm Oh wow.. I thought it was a pen but I also thought that was too easy! See everyone? I'm not as thick as I look..er.. something like that anyway! ::) Words like ironwood and cocopalm are just so fantastic, ebony and mahogany are still exotic and exciting but I've heard of those and grew up with them. I love all my new things! It's funny because I keep thinking about UB40 having been in your town and coming to mine and I'm getting extra pleasure in anticipating the concert from knowing that so to have all these gifts too is just out of this world :) Thank you so much, I'm just tickled pink! |
