Ok, let me try to get back into this with just a pleasant post ..

Ok, all you old geezers of the ‘Nam generation, how long has it been since you have heard these songs:
He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother    by The Hollies
Eve of Destruction   by Barry McGuire
Those Were the Days   by Mary Hopkins
The Unicorn Song   by The Irish Rovers
Teddy Bear   by Red Sovine
House of the Rising Sun   by Frigid Pink
Ichycoo Park   by Small Faces
California Park   by Rivieras

Hmmm?

Well if you like them, and probably a thousand other songs, of that time period, go to this site:
http://chu65nang67.us/nam/vietnam.html

Scroll down to the seven playlists, and I hope you have HOURS to spend … There are THAT many memories, in those songs.  Add it to your FAVORITES list, as you will be back to it MANY times!

ENJOY!

I guess that wasn’t so hard …

You got that right. REAL Rock and Roll. Invented in the 50's and 60's (in Vegas).

Without our rock and roll we would have only had sex and drugs.

And that crappy little Asian War Games thingy.

OK, and nudity.

Thanks for the link, Chuck.  What I have found amazing is that my 19 year-old daughter really loves and appreciates the music from her parents generation. It is some really enduring stuff.  Thanks for sharing the link.

Yes I guess I am one of those geezers! what a great link!!!

Thank so much for that I am going to share it with all my vet friends as well as a lot of other geezers :)

As pattic said above my 31 yr old son LOVES those same songs and he thanks you also!

I just got back from Ft. Bragg greeting the last of the 82nd back home. It was fantastic. What a great bunch of boys we have managed to bring up and have sent out to do our countries bidding whether we agree with it or not.

My nephew who was on the mission to find the spec ops guys that were shot down some time back says that as far as he can tell very very few of the troops have lost any of their patriotic feelings they just wish that the Afgani's would at least act as if they liked us! Well I guess a lot of us know /remember what that felt like.

Thanks to all of you who made such nice comments on my post regarding my granddaughter. And yes she has me wrapped around her little finger and I love it! ;;D

Thanks again for the great link bro..............tim
