No There was no CHOKING about it. They were a flat out JOKE! If it wasnt for an Arod Home Run they would have been sent home before then. They never played very well. Yes they POUNDED South Africa but that was it. I am getting sick of the pros playing in some of these events. Like the Olympic Basketball/Hockey teams. I just dont see the pride thing. I was never in support of the WBC anyway because of the pros. If someone BIG from your favorite team gets hurt for the season doing this would you not be pissed? What do yo think ownership would do? By the way somebody make Bud Selig Go away!!

The Yankees suck!

Baseball is worldwide but its always the hungry guys that play above their level.

I think the pros that played were excited and proud to represent the U.S. This isn't like the NBA and the Olympics. They just got beat.

I wonder how many Cubans will defect before its all over? You can bet some are getting some attention in a covert sort of way.

Probably, but I would guess that the best Cuban players were not even allowed to come for just that reason.

Jealousy? Not really I'm an Orioles fan. I do miss Earl Weaver days though.
