Title: dog dumbies Post by cootie on Mar 15th, 2006, 12:36pm Some lady in northeastern Ohio THINKS she found the missing whippet worth over 100 thousand bucks that escaped from an airport in NY out of a crate headed to the Westminster dog show. So it was on the local news last nite and today. It showed up in her back yard real thin about 3 weeks ago. They showed pics of the dog she found in her back yard and the one missing in comparison.......duh......does it take a rocket scientist to see that the missing dog has a totally solid black muzzle to the eyes and 'large' separated gold color'd spots. This dog found is solid golden on it's body with 'NO' separations and solid white muzzle and part of the face also and also white legs. NO way could it be the same dog !!!!!!! It's been missing a month.....and mature age and no way would the colors and patterns change (owners probly collected the ins money by now anyhow).....and this dog would have to of been microchipped (AKC requirement) that would make it a SNAP to scan at the humane society or vets office and figure it out. (or they can be tattoo'd and info in a date base also) I jus thought that was sorta DUMB and LAME the lady got all that AIR time and alot of HYPE for her to get on tv. She said she rescues pets and had a few birds and a cat. (which is COOL) Nice lookin well trained dog tho but didn't strick me as petite built as a full blooded whippet. I think I'll go out back and look for 'the missing link' and get my claim to popularity Pam |

Title: Re: dog dumbies Post by Karla on Mar 15th, 2006, 12:50pm good catch Pam. I wouldn't have been knowlegeable enough to know the difference. Maybe you should call up or email your local news station and educate them on dogs?! |

Title: Re: dog dumbies Post by cootie on Mar 15th, 2006, 4:06pm It jus kind of shocked me the local news would even bother with the story when you compare pics of dogs......they kept saying they think it IS the missing dog and they showed both dogs and NO WAY.......duh........only resemblence was color with white but not even the same color pattern......yet they are still doin followups and sayin they HOPE it's the same missing dog. (probly a reward out on it too)......but it is SO obvious there NOT the same.....I don't get it ??? If they say it IS the same dog then I am goin to call that news station and tell them one of my chihuahua's or dashys is Rin-Tin-Tins direct fullblooded offspring Pam |
