A real pink elephant. Looks huggable too!

A rare small pink elephant, about a month old, came down to drink from the Crocodile River. It was accompanied by its mother and an older sibling, both of whom were very protective of the baby. It is unclear whether the calf is a true albino or ‘white’ elephant, but may be what is known as a leucistic animal

except the part about it being on my front lawn at 3 in the morning.

One night, one of our unit secretaries was holding a drug-withdrawing baby. This nurse, who has a pretty dry sense of humor, walked up to the baby, looked at it, and said, very seriously, "Are ya seeing the pink elephants?"

I almost died laughing...
